Melvin "Fritz" Hanson was a Canadian football player for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Calgary Stampeders. Nicknamed the 'Galloping Ghost', 'Twinkle Toes', and the 'Perham Flash', Hanson was one of the pioneers of football in Western Canada and a huge star at the time. Although he weighed only 145 pounds (66 kg) he used his incredible quickness to evade defenders. He helped lead the Blue Bombers to the first Grey Cup victory by a western Canadian team in 1935 and won again with the Bombers in 1939 and 1941. In the 1935 Grey Cup Game Hanson had an incredible 334 punt return yards on 13 returns, a record that still stands today, including a sensational 78-yard return for the winning touchdown. He played with Winnipeg from 1935 through 1946 then spent two years playing for the Calgary Stampeders, where he won a fourth Grey Cup in 1948.
Tom Scott is a former Canadian Football League receiver for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Edmonton Eskimos and Calgary Stampeders. He was drafted in the 1973 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. In an 11-year professional career from 1974–1984, he caught 649 passes for 10,837 yards and 88 touchdowns. Scott was a part of five Grey Cup winning teams with the Eskimos. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, where he was inducted in 1998.

Darvin Adams is an American professional Canadian football wide receiver for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Adams won the 107th Grey Cup with the Blue Bombers when they defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 33-12. He was signed by the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2011, Adams has also been a member of the Virginia Destroyers (UFL) and Toronto Argonauts (CFL). He played college football at Auburn with whom he won the 2011 BCS National Championship.
Anthony Lawrence Parker is a professional Canadian football wide receiver for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was originally drafted by the Calgary Stampeders and played with that organization for seven years, winning a Grey Cup championship in 2014. He played CIS football for the Calgary Dinos.

The 107th Grey Cup decided the champion of the 2019 season in the Canadian Football League (CFL). The match was played on November 24, 2019 between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon Stadium in Calgary, Alberta. Winnipeg defeated Hamilton, 33–12. This was the Blue Bombers' first Grey Cup victory since 1990, ending one of the longest championship droughts in CFL history. Winnipeg's Andrew Harris was named both Most Valuable Player and Most Valuable Canadian of the game; the first time one player had won both honours in the same game.
