Manitoulin Island is an island in Lake Huron, located within the borders of the Canadian province of Ontario, in the bioregion known as Laurentia. MS Chi-Cheemaun is a Canadian passenger and vehicle ferry in Ontario, Canada, which traverses Lake Huron between Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula and South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island. The ferry connects the two geographically separate portions of Highway 6 and is the vessel that replaced MS Norgoma and SS Norisle in 1974. The ferry service runs seasonally from mid-May to mid-October. As of 2022 she is the third largest passenger vessel sailing the Great Lakes after the expedition cruise liner Viking Octantis and the US ferry SS Badger, although several larger vessels previously serving the Great Lakes are still in service in other parts of the world.

The river falls over a limestone bluff at Bridal Veil Falls. "Kagawong" means "mists rising from falling water" in the Ojibwe language.
The Mindemoya River is a river on Manitoulin Island in Ontario, Canada, which flows about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Lake Mindemoya to empty into Providence Bay on Lake Huron. There is a boardwalk and large sandy beach at the mouth of the river. "Mindemoya" comes from the Ojibwe word mindimooyenh, which means "old woman". The river is accessible by both boat and foot at a number of points and is often fished for salmon and trout.
Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park is a BC Park located on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of Rosedale, British Columbia, Canada, part of the City of Chilliwack. The community of Bridal Falls is located adjacent to the falls and park was well as the interchange between the Trans-Canada and BC Highway 9 and has a variety of highway-based tourism services. Access to the falls requires a short hike from the parking lot and well groomed trails, taking most groups 15-25 minutes.
The North Channel is the body of water along the north shore of Lake Huron, in the Canadian province of Ontario. It stretches approximately 160 nautical miles (300 km) and is bordered on the east by Georgian Bay, on the west by the St. Marys River, to the north by the eastern Algoma District and part of the Sudbury District, and to the south by the islands of Manitoulin, Cockburn, Drummond and St. Joseph. At its widest point it is over 30 km wide.

Lake Kagawong is the second largest lake on Manitoulin Island in Ontario, Canada. Located in the central part of the island, the lake is drained by the Kagawong River, which falls over Bridal Veil Falls into Lake Huron. Kagawong means "[where mists rise] from the falling [waters]" in the local Ojibwe language.

Aside from being Manitoulin's largest island at approximately 0.4 km2 (0.2 sq mi) in area, it is also notable for being the world's largest natural island in a lake on an island in a lake.
