Brijendra Pratap Singh also known as Dau Sahab (born 29 August 1967) [1] is an Indian politician who is a Member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Panna Assembly constituency,being associated with the Bhartiya Janta Party. [2] He is serving as minister in the ministry of Mineral Resources [3] [4] and Labour Department since 2021 in the Government of Madhya Pradesh. [5] [6] [7] [8]
He served as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Farmers' Development and Agriculture Welfare and Tourism and Public Service Management in the Government of Madhya Pradesh during the tenure from 2009 to 2013. [9] During this tenure,he also held the additional charge of Sports and Youth Welfare. [10]
Brijendra Pratap Singh was born to Uday Pratap Singh on 29 August 1967.
He had completed his schooling from Daly College,Indore in 1986,and then got his Bachelor of Commerce degree from a Barkatullah University,Bhopal. He completed his L.L.B. from Awdesh Pratap Singh University in Rewa,Madhya Pradesh. He received the best student award in Daly College,Indore in the year 1985–1986. [8]
He won his first elections in the year 2003 from Pawai Constituency of Madhya Pradesh. [11] [12] He was the first leader from the BJP to win in that constituency. He got re-elected in 2008. [13] [11] In 2009,there was an extension in Shivraj Singh Chauhan's cabinet wherein he was appointed as the State Minister with a portfolio of Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Department. After a year,he was also made in charge of the Department of Public Service Management. [14] In early 2013,due to the illness of senior cabinet minister Tukoji Rao Pawar,the departments of Tourism and Sports and Youth Welfare were also transferred to him. [8]
In 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election he got his ticket of the Bharatiya Janata Party from the Panna Assembly Constituency. [15]

Vindhya Pradesh was a former state of India. It occupied an area of 61,131.5 km2. It was created in 1948 as Union of Baghelkhand and Bundelkhand States,shortly after Indian independence,from the territories of the princely states in the eastern portion of the former Central India Agency.
