She has been ranked as high as number two in the world. Her greatest achievements include winning gold in the long jump at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and placing fourth at the 2004 Olympic Games. However Bronwyn has suffered numerous injury setbacks during her career and retired at the end of the 2008/09 Australian domestic season

Neale John Lavis was an Australian equestrian and Olympic champion. He won a team gold medal in eventing at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, and a silver medal in individual eventing. He later became involved with a cattle and racehorse stud in Braidwood, which produced Just A Dash, the winner of the 1981 Melbourne Cup, and Strawberry Road, the 1982/83 Racehorse of the Year. After the Rome Olympics, he married Velma; they had four children.

Brooke Buschkuehl is an Olympic long jumper from Australia. She is the current Australian & Oceanic Record Holder. She qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Stratton jumped a distance of 6.6m in her Women's long jump heat and therefore qualified for the final. In the final she improved the distance to 6.8m but this was not sufficient to gain a medal. She came seventh, 0.17m less than the eventual winner, Malaika Mihambo of Germany.
Peter Grant Blackburn is an Australian badminton player who affiliated with the Ballarat Badminton Association. He competed at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics, and collected four bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games. Blackburn graduated from the Ballarat University College with a Diploma in Teaching in 1991. He was awarded the Hollioake Medallion in 1991, 1994 and 1995 for his outstanding contribution to sport in the City of Ballarat, and in 1999 he was named Ballarat Sportsperson of the Year.
Robert Gordon "Bobby" Bath is an Australian boxer. He competed in the men's bantamweight event at the 1956 Summer Olympics. At the 1956 Summer Olympics he defeated Hempala Jayasuriya of Ceylon, before losing to Song Soon-chun of South Korea. He is from Buninyong, Ballarat.
