Brooke Theiss-Genesse (born October 23, 1969) is an American actress who has starred in film and on television.
Theiss was born in Palos Verdes Peninsula, California to actors Dick Thies and Kathleen Mitchell. She changed the spelling of her surname to make it easier to spell. [1]
Theiss's first film role was in 1988's Little Nikita , but later that year, her big role came in the hit horror movie A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master as Debbie Stevens. Theiss's best-known TV role is in the 1980s TV series Just the Ten of Us , as Wendy Lubbock, from 1988 to 1990. She also starred in the 1990s TV series Good & Evil , Home Free , and in The Amanda Show from 1999 to 2000.
Theiss has made guest appearances in numerous television shows, including Growing Pains (she played Wendy Lubbock), Blossom , Parker Lewis Can't Lose , Beverly Hills, 90210 , American Dreams , and Cold Squad . She also portrayed the character of Maxie from Maxie's World in several commercials for the popular doll.
In 2010 Theiss participated in the documentary Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy discussing her experiences while filming her role in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master .
Theiss has been married to Canadian actor Bryan Genesse since 1994. They have one son, Mitchell Victor (born July 15, 1995) and one daughter, Aubrey Ann (born October 21, 2008). Theiss has dyslexia. A Nightmare on Elm Street is an American supernatural slasher media franchise consisting of nine films, a television series, novels, comic books, and various other media. The franchise began with the film A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), written and directed by Wes Craven. The overall plot of the franchise centers around the fictional character Freddy Krueger, the apparition of a former child killer who was burned alive by the vengeful parents of his victims, who returns from the grave to terrorize and kill the teenage residents of the fictional Springwood, Ohio in their dreams. Craven returned to the franchise to co-script the second sequel, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), and to write and direct Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994). The films collectively grossed $472 million at the box office worldwide.

Englund is best known for playing the villain Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise and Willie in the V television franchise (1983–1985). Just the Ten of Us is an American sitcom starring stand-up comedian Bill Kirchenbauer as Coach Graham Lubbock, a teacher and the head of a large Catholic family with eight children living in Eureka, California. The series is a spin-off of Growing Pains, in which Kirchenbauer portrayed the same character on a recurring basis. As the series progressed, Coach Lubbock's four eldest daughters, the teenagers Marie, Cindy, Wendy, and Connie, became the primary focus of the show.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master is a 1988 American fantasy slasher film directed by Renny Harlin, and is the fourth installment in the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Serving as a sequel to A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), the film follows Freddy Krueger who, following the death of Nancy Thompson and completing his revenge against the families who killed him, reappears in the dreams of Kristen Parker, Joey Crusel, and Roland Kincaid, where he uses Kristen's best friend, Alice Johnson, to gain access to new victims in order to satiate his murderous needs. The Dream Master is often popularly referred to as "the MTV Nightmare" of the franchise.
