The Brooks Bombers are a Western Canadian Baseball League team based in Brooks, Alberta, Canada, that began play in May 2016. They currently play at Elks Field at the Quad Ball Diamond Complex.

History

The team was first known as the Red Deer Generals of the Western Major Baseball League, and ceased operations in 2005. The franchise was then relocated in fall 2015 to Brooks.

The team's first coaching staff was unveiled in December 2015. Ehren Moreno was named the head coach. He was an assistant coach at Texas Southern University. Former Milwaukee Brewers player Kyle Dhanani was named an assistant coach. Tyler Seibert was named bench coach.

After retiring as a player, Jensen coached and managed in the minor leagues. Since 2015, he has served as a coach for the Oakland Athletics of MLB.

Orlondo Steinauer is the president of football operations and head coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). As a player, he played professional Canadian football as a safety for 13 seasons with the Ottawa Rough Riders, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts from 1996 to 2008. He finished his career second all-time in CFL history for interception return yards with 1178 yards. Steinauer was a two-time Grey Cup champion as a player after winning in 1999 with the Tiger-Cats and in 2004 with the Argonauts. He has also won a championship as a coach, winning the 100th Grey Cup as the defensive backs coach for the Toronto Argonauts in 2012.

The Texas–Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros baseball team, or the UTRGV Vaqueros, is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, an NCAA Division I institution with several campuses in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, United States. UTRGV was formally founded in 2013 with the announced merger of the University of Texas–Pan American (UTPA), with its main campus in Edinburg, and the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) in Brownsville, with the merged university beginning operation in the 2015–16 school year. The Vaqueros compete in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), play home games at UTRGV Baseball Stadium in Edinburg, and are coached by Derek Matlock.

Chris Brooks is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former player. In June 2022, he became an assistant coach for the Clarkson Golden Knights men's ice hockey program.

Bob Milano is an American college baseball coach. He served as the head coach of the California Golden Bears baseball team from 1978 to 1999.
