The Ark was a Swedish glam rock band formed in 1991 and remaining active until 2011. They released five studio albums and became one of the most successful bands in Scandinavia. They made their breakthrough with the song It Takes a Fool to Remain Sane in 2000, and several hit songs followed.

The song was qualified for the final in Stockholm. Svensson took part in the Melodifestivalen final on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Globe Arena in Stockholm, in a bid to represent Sweden in Eurovision Song Contest 2010, held in Oslo, Norway. He came at 7th place overall with a total of 47 points, but receiving two sets of 12 points from the Serbian & Irish juries.
