The Brown Site, designated 20GR21, is an archaeological site located along the Pine River [3] near Tyler Road, south of Alma College. [4] It is situated on a sandy point near a small creek. [3] The site was discovered in 1976 as part of a survey of the Pine River watershed by researchers from Alma College, and excavations were conducted in 1977 and 1979. [3] It is the site of a late Woodland period village dating to about AD 1000, [3] covering 0.8 acres (0.32 ha). [2]

The Brown Site and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. [2]

Dumaw Creek Site Archaeological site in Michigan, United States

The Dumaw Creek Site is an archaeological site designated 20OA5, located along Dumaw Creek northeast of Pentwater, Michigan, that was the location of a 17th-century village and cemetery. It is one of the youngest pre-historic sites in Michigan, dating to the terminal Late Woodland Period just prior to European contact. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Holiday Park Site, designated 20GR91, is an archaeological site located in Alma, Michigan. The site is a few hundred meters south of the Pine River, and was the location of a Late Woodland period village covering approximately 0.5 acres (0.20 ha).

The Conservation Park Site, also known as the Pine River Park Site and designated 20GR33, is an archaeological site located along the Pine River in Alma, Michigan. The site was discovered by archaeologists from Alma College in 1976, and excavations conducted in 1977-81 and 1983-85 found early Woodland period material. indicating a camp covering 1.4 acres (0.57 ha). The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Lincoln Road–Pine River Bridge United States historic place

The Lincoln Road–Pine River Bridge, also known as the Riverdale Bridge, was a bridge located on Lincoln Road over the Pine River near Seville, Michigan. The architect behind the Lincoln Road–Pine River Bridge was the Michigan State Highway Department and its builder was Walter Willets. The bridge is notable for being a large early example of an arched through girder bridge in Michigan, and for sitting on substantially skewed abutments. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Alma Downtown Historic District (Alma, Michigan) United States historic place

The Alma Downtown Historic District is a commercial historic district in Alma, Michigan, roughly located along Superior Street between the Pine River and Prospect Avenue, and along State Street between Center and Downie Streets. Parts of the district were designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1975, and the entirety was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. It contains 72 structures, primarily brick commercial buildings, ranging from one to three stories in height and dating from 1874 to the 1960s.

Skegemog Point Site Archaeological site in Michigan, United States

The Skegemog Point Site, also known as the Samels Field Site or Samels Site and designated 20GT2, is an archaeological site located on the property of the Samels Farm at 8298 Skegemog Point Road, near Williamsburg, Michigan. Material at the site spans over 10,000 years, and the site is unique in that, due to glacial rebound, it is horizontally stratified rather than vertically stratified. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
