Bruce Andrew Cruse (born 26 April 1967) is an Australian former first-class cricketer who played for Tasmania from 1985 to 1992. Cruse emigrated to the UK in 1993 and after time at Lancashire County Cricket Club he worked for the England and Wales Cricket Board in various roles,including as Director of Facilities and Infrastructure. In this role Cruse led a programme that delivered over £150million investment into grassroots cricket. [1]
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the national governing body of cricket in England and Wales. It was formed on 1 January 1997 as a single governing body to combine the roles formerly fulfilled by the Test and County Cricket Board,the National Cricket Association and the Cricket Council. In April 1998 the Women's Cricket Association was integrated into the organisation. The ECB's head offices are at Lord's Cricket Ground in north-west London.

The Competition operates a three divisional system with Premier,First and Second Divisions. The Southport and District Amateur Cricket League is its feeder league.

The Kent Women cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English county of Kent. They play their home matches at County Cricket Ground,Beckenham,as well as the St Lawrence Ground and Polo Farm,both in Canterbury. They are captained by Tammy Beaumont and are coached by David Hathrill. The ECB40,last known as the Yorkshire Bank 40 (YB40) for sponsorship reasons,was a forty-over limited overs cricket competition for the English first-class counties. It began in the 2010 English cricket season as a replacement for the Pro40 and Friends Provident Trophy competitions. Yorkshire Bank were the last sponsors,taking over the naming rights from their parent company Clydesdale Bank for the 2013 edition. Warwickshire won the inaugural tournament. The Hundred is a professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men's and eight women's teams located in major cities across England and Wales. The tournament is run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and took place for the first time in July and August 2021.

The 2009 Women's Twenty20 Cup was the inaugural cricket Women's Twenty20 Cup tournament. It took place in July,with 32 teams taking part:30 county teams plus Wales and Scotland. Surrey Women won the Twenty20 Cup,as champions of Division One. The tournament ran alongside the 50-over 2009 Women's County Championship.
The 2009 Women's County One-Day Championship was the 13th cricket Women's County Championship season. It ran from May to September and saw 30 county teams and teams representing Ireland,Scotland,Wales and the Netherlands compete in a series of divisions. Kent Women won the County Championship as winners of the top division,going through the season unbeaten and winning their third title.
