Bruce McGuire (born 31 January 1962) is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s.
A New South Wales State of Origin and Australian international representative forward, he played in the New South Wales Rugby League premiership for the Balmain Tigers for five seasons between 1986 and 1990 and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for two seasons between 1991 and 1992. Bruce Maguire played in two losing Grand Finals with the Balmain Tigers in 1988 and 1989. His representative career includes N.S.W. City in 1988 and New South Wales State of Origin in 1989 and 1990. He then represented Australia in two tests against New Zealand in 1989. [2] He is listed on the Australian Players Register as Kangaroo No. 595. [3] He finished his rugby league career in England, initially at the Sheffield Eagles and finally at the Warrington Wolves between 1994 and 1996. [4] Bruce McGuire played at prop in Warrington's 10–40 defeat by Wigan in the 1994–95 Regal Trophy Final during the 1994–95 season at Alfred McAlpine Stadium, Huddersfield on Saturday 28 January 1995. Originally from Nowra, he is a member of the Shoalhaven Sporting Hall of Fame. [6]
Bruce McGuire played at second row and scored two tries in Sheffield Eagles' 16–29 defeat by Wakefield Trinity in the 1992 Yorkshire Cup Final during the 1992–93 season at Elland Road, Leeds on Sunday 18 October 1992.
Martin Nwokocha Offiah MBE ; born 29 December 1965) is an English former professional rugby league and rugby union footballer who played in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Offiah was inducted into the Rugby League Hall of Fame in 2013. He scored over 500 tries during his rugby league career, making him the third-highest try scorer of all time, and now features in a statue of great rugby league players outside Wembley Stadium.
Andrew Farrar is an Australian former rugby league footballer and coach. He played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Western Suburbs, Wigan and the Illawarra Steelers. Farrar also played for New South Wales in the State of Origin on several occasions and played for Australia in the 1988 World Cup Final. As a coach he worked with the Illawarra Steelers, the St. George Illawarra Dragons and the Wigan Warriors, and from 2017 to 2019 was the General Manager of Football at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Kevin David Walters is an Australian professional rugby league football coach and former player, who has been the head coach of the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League (NRL) since 2021.
Robert Fulton, also nicknamed "Bozo", was an Australian international rugby league footballer, coach and later commentator. Fulton played, coached, selected for and has commentated on the game with great success at the highest levels and has been named amongst Australia's greatest rugby league players of the 20th century. As a player Fulton won three premierships with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the 1970s, the last as captain. He represented the Australian national side on thirty-five occasions, seven times as captain. He had a long coaching career at the first grade level, taking Manly to premiership victory in 1987 and 1996. He coached the Australian national team in thirty-nine Tests. He was a New South Wales State selector and a national selector. He was a radio commentator with 2GB at the time of his death in 2021, aged 73. In 1981, he was selected as one of the initial four post-war "Immortals" of the Australian game and, in 2008, he was named in Australia's team of the century.
Gary John Connolly is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s as a fullback and centre for St Helens, Canterbury Bulldogs, Wigan Warriors, Leeds Rhinos and for the Great Britain national side. In the twilight of his career, he played rugby union for Irish side Munster.
Allan Glen Bateman is a Welsh former rugby union and rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He is a dual-code rugby international centre who represented the British and Irish Lions at rugby union, and Great Britain at rugby league.
Martin Hall was the head coach of Halifax from June 2006 until May 2010. He took over the head coach job from sacked coach Anthony Farrell. Hall previously played hooker at Oldham, Rochdale Hornets, Wigan, Castleford, Halifax and Hull FC. Martin Hall played hooker, and scored a try in Wigan's 30–10 victory over Leeds in the 1995 Challenge Cup Final during the 1994–95 season at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 29 April 1995, in front of a crowd of 78,550. After the 1993–94 Rugby Football League season Hall travelled with defending champions Wigan to Brisbane, playing from the interchange bench in their 1994 World Club Challenge victory over Australian premiers, the Brisbane Broncos. He was also the head coach of the Wales national rugby league team for 3 years between 2005 and 2007 and has had coaching stints at Rochdale Hornets and Hull Kingston Rovers.
Chris Johns is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He played in the centres, achieving representative honors for Australia and New South Wales. His club football career was spent with the St. George Dragons and Brisbane Broncos, as well as two spells in England, first with Castleford in 1986-87 and then Barrow in 1989–90. After retiring from the playing field, Johns worked in the administration of the Brisbane Broncos and Melbourne Storm clubs.
Terry Matterson is an Australian rugby league coach and former player. Matterson played in Australia's premiership for the Eastern Suburbs Roosters and the Brisbane Broncos, and was also selected to play in the State of Origin for New South Wales once in 1989. He was a goal-kicking lock and he played the majority of his club football for the Brisbane Broncos, with whom he won the 1992 and 1993 premierships, in addition to stints with the Eastern Suburbs Roosters and the London Broncos. He worked as a head coach in the Super League for the Castleford Tigers between 2005 and 2011. From October 2013 Matterson was the head coach of the United States.
Les Davidson is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and represented at both the State and national levels. His position of choice on the field was second-row or prop.
John Kevin Dorahy, also known by the nickname of "Joe Cool", is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and coach. He played in the Australian New South Wales Rugby League premiership and also represented for NSW Country, New South Wales Origin and Australia. Dorahy later played and coached in the English Championship, and coached in the Super League. He began his playing career at fullback and in later years moved into the centres. As coach of Wigan, he is one of a select few to have a guided his club to the league championship and Challenge Cup 'double'.

A Great Britain national representative goal-kicking centre, he played most of his club rugby with English club Widnes as well as stints with Featherstone Rovers and the Australian team Balmain Tigers. At the time of his retirement, he was co-holder of the Widnes club record for most points in a match, with 34. He played out the last years of his career with English rugby union teams.

Mackey played at club level for South Sydney Rabbitohs for three seasons between 1980 and 1983, Illawarra Steelers for five seasons between 1984 and 1988, Paris Châtillon XIII, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for one season in 1989, Warrington (twice), Huddersfield and Hull FC, usually as a five-eighth or halfback, and was Captain of Hull during the 1990–91 and 1991–92 seasons.
