Buchanan is a historic parish in Stirlingshire in Scotland.
It includes a large part of the eastern shore of Loch Lomond. The most populated village in the parish is Milton of Buchanan, but the village that is most popular with tourists is Balmaha.

Hanslope is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority area of the City of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. The village is about 4 miles (6.4 km) west northwest of Newport Pagnell, about 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Stony Stratford and 8 miles (13 km) north of Central Milton Keynes. Buchanan Smithy is a hamlet in Buchanan in the far west of Stirling, Scotland. The current settlement was mostly purpose-built in the 18th century for the estate workers of James Graham, 3rd Duke of Montrose, who lived at nearby Buchanan Castle. The name "Smithy" arose due to the presence of three blacksmiths there. Today the main local industries are forestry, agriculture and tourism.
