Douglas Riggs "Bucky" Dilts is a former punter for three years in the National Football League. He played in Super Bowl XII for the Denver Broncos.
Dilts attended the University of Georgia where he was a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity. He was the left-footed punter for the Georgia Bulldogs from 1974 to 1976 and played for the legendary Vince Dooley. He appeared in three bowl games, including the 1976 Cotton Bowl Classic and the 1977 Sugar Bowl and was a member of the 1976 SEC Championship Team.
Dilts was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos in 1977. He played two years for the Broncos, including an appearance in Super Bowl XII against the Dallas Cowboys. In 1979, he played for the Baltimore Colts. The following year, after he did not receive any offers from any teams, he retired from football and went to work in sales and marketing in the Denver-Boulder area in Colorado. [1]

John Gregory Taylor is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver and kick returner with the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He attended Pennsauken High School and was one of six NFL players to come from PHS during the 1980s. Taylor attended Delaware State College and was a member of their football team, the Hornets. Larry Craig Morton is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for 18 seasons, primarily with the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos. He played college football for the California Golden Bears, receiving All-American honors, and was selected by the Cowboys fifth overall in the 1965 NFL Draft. Following nine seasons with the Cowboys, a quarterback controversy with Roger Staubach led to Morton joining the New York Giants for three seasons. He spent his final six seasons as a member of the Broncos, winning NFL Comeback Player of the Year and AFC Offensive Player of the Year in 1977.

As this was the 50th Super Bowl game, the league emphasized the "golden anniversary" with various gold-themed initiatives during the 2015 season, as well as suspending the tradition of naming each Super Bowl game with Roman numerals, so the logo could prominently feature the number 50 in more familiar Arabic numerals.
