KirtiKumar Mitesh Bhangdiya [1] better known as Bunty Bhangdiya is a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Chimur Assembly Constituency. He belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). [2] He was the richest candidate from Vidarbha in the 2014 elections. [3] Bhangdiya was founder and head of "Yuvashakti Sanghatna" a political organisation that held power in the Gadchiroli Zilla Parishad in 2014. In August 2014, Bhangdiya joined the BJP. [4] [5] He was the first BJP candidate to win from Chimur. In 2014 state election he won by margin of 25,155 votes by defeating the Congress candidate. In 2019 he again won from Chimur. He is known to be very close to Devendra Fadnavis. He was amongst the top 10 most working MLAs in Maharashtra.

Bhangdiya's father Mitesh Bhangdiya is a member of Maharashtra Legislative Council, from the Chandrapur- Gadchiroli- Wardha local body constituency (2012-2018) who also belongs to the BJP. Mitesh Bhangdiya is amongst the leading irrigation contractors in the Vidarbha-Marathwada region. [6]

On 21 August 2017, Bhangdiya and several of his supporters were charged with assaulting an Indian National Congress leader and several of his own supporters in Chandrapur. [7]

Gadchiroli is a city and a municipal council in Gadchiroli district in the state of Maharashtra, central India. It is located on eastern side of Maharashtra, and is the administrative headquarters of the district. Gadchiroli is called a lung of Maharashtra as it has almost 35% of this district has forest cover. The main river flowing through city is the Wainganga River. The landscape is lush and green during the monsoon season which is prone to flooding. Gadchiroli is known for its forests. Teak is grown commercially and bamboos are used for various crafts.

Sunil Panjabrao Deshmukh is the Member of Legislative Assembly from the constituency of Amravati, Maharashtra, India. He is a member of Indian National Congress (INC). In 2009, he was expelled from the Indian National Congress due to his rebellion in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha election, 2009 when he was denied a ticket to contest the election from his Amravati constituency in order to accommodate Mr. Raosaheb Shekhawat, the son of then President of India, Pratibha Patil. He was also the Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Public Works and Energy in the cabinet of the Government of Maharashtra (2004-2009). Gadchiroli–Chimur Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 48 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies of Maharashtra state in western India. This constituency came into existence on 19 February 2008 as a part of the implementation of the Presidential notification on delimitation of parliamentary constituencies based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted on 12 July 2002. This seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribes. It first held elections in 2009 and its first member of parliament (MP) was Marotrao Kowase of the Indian National Congress. As of the 2014 elections, it is represented by Ashok Nete of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Wamanrao Sadashivrao Chatap is the former president of Shetkari Sanghatana. He was also President of the Swatantra Bharat Paksha representing Maharashtra in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, the lower house. Dr. Milind Mane was a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represented the Nagpur North Assembly Constituency. The second doctor elected from this constituency, reserved for a Scheduled Tribe candidate, after Saguna Talandi in 2009. His 2014 victory is amongst Vidarbha's top ten in terms of margin.

Suresh Narayan Dhanorkar, also called Balubhau Dhanorkar, is the newly elected member of Lok Sabha from Chandrapur constituency. He belongs to the Indian National Congress political party. He is the only candidate for Indian national Congress to be elected as MP from Maharashtra.

Sanjivreddi Bapurao Bodkurwar is a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Wani Assembly Constituency. He belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Bodkurwar's victory was amongst the five seats won by the BJP, that resulted in the Indian National Congress (INC) not being able to win a single seat in Yavatmal district once its stronghold. He was amongst several other new and young BJP candidates that won their elections in Vidarbha region. Fielding young newcomers like him in Vidarbha has been described as a successful BJP strategy.

Madan Madhukarrao Yerawar is a member of the 14th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Yavatmal serving his third term as MLA.

Tanaji Sakharamji Mutkule is a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Hingoli Assembly Constituency. He belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Bramhapuri Assembly constituency is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra state, western India. This constituency is located in Chandrapur district, and is part of Gadchiroli–Chimur since the 2009 elections.

Harshvardhan Jadhav is an Indian politician who formerly represented Kannad in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He has been a member of Shiv Sena, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, Shiv Swarajya Paksha at various times in his political career.
