Burlington is an unincorporated community in Fulton County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. [1]
Burlington was laid out in 1839. [2] A post office was moved from nearby Elmira to Burlington about 1850 but the name of the post office was not changed. [3] The "Elmira" post office closed in 1957. [4]

The county was created in 1850 with land from Henry, Lucas, and Williams counties and is named for Robert Fulton, inventor of the steamboat. Fulton County is a part of the Toledo metropolitan area.
