Butts Band is the first album by Butts Band, released in 1974. "Pop-a-Top" was released as a single, with "Baja Bus" on the B side. Band founders Robby Krieger and John Densmore would assemble an entirely new group of musicians for the band's second and final album, 1975's Hear and Now .

In a retrospective review for AllMusic, Joe Viglione gave the album a rating of three and a half out of five stars. [1] He noted that the album is "very musical and great stuff, it just had no image, introduced us to new personalities." [1]

1996 compilation

Both albums by the Butts Band were repackaged together and released in 1996 as One Way label's, "The Complete Recordings". Two studio bonus tracks, "That's All Right" and "Lovin' You For All The Right Reasons", were added to the album.

Robby Krieger American rock guitarist and songwriter

Robert Alan Krieger is an American guitarist and singer-songwriter best known as the guitarist of the rock band The Doors; as such he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Krieger wrote or co-wrote many of the Doors' songs, including the hits "Light My Fire", "Love Me Two Times", "Touch Me", and "Love Her Madly". After the Doors disbanded, Krieger continued his performing and recording career with other musicians including former Doors bandmates John Densmore and Ray Manzarek. He was listed by Rolling Stone as one of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.

John Paul Densmore is an American musician, songwriter, author and actor. He is best known as the drummer of the rock band the Doors, and as such is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. "Moonlight Drive" is a song by American rock band the Doors, released in 1967 on their second album Strange Days. It was edited to a 2:16 length for the 45 rpm single B-side of "Love Me Two Times". Though a conventional blues arrangement, "Moonlight Drive"'s defining feature was its slightly off-beat rhythm, and Robby Krieger's "bottleneck" or slide guitar, which creates an eerie sound. Bloodline (band) American band

Bloodline was an American blues-rock band from New York City, New York. Formed in 1991, the group originally featured vocalist Aaron Hagar, lead guitarist "Smokin' Joe" Bonamassa, rhythm guitarist Waylon Krieger, bassist Berry Oakley, Jr., drummer Erin Davis and keyboardist Lou Segreti. After Hagar was fired due to creative differences, Oakley took over as lead vocalist and the group began recording demos for a planned studio album with producer Phil Ramone. Bloodline later signed with EMI Records and released their self-titled debut album in 1994, which was produced by Joe Hardy. The band broke up shortly after the album's touring cycle.

Butts Band was a British and American group formed by ex-Doors members John Densmore and Robby Krieger that was active from 1973 to 1975. The band released two albums and with the exception of Krieger and Densmore, they consisted of different band personnel on each.

Hear and Now is the second and final album by Butts Band, released in 1975. With the exception of founders Robby Krieger and John Densmore, the band consists entirely of different musicians than the band's debut album.

Manzarek–Krieger American rock band

Manzarek–Krieger was an American rock band formed by two former members of The Doors, Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger, in 2002. They were also known as The Doors of the 21st Century, D21C, and Riders on the Storm. They settled on using Manzarek–Krieger or Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of The Doors for legal reasons, after acrimonious debates and court battles between the two musicians and Doors co-founder/ drummer John Densmore. They performed Doors material exclusively until the death of Manzarek in 2013.

Phil Chen Jamaican musician

Phil Chen is a well-known Jamaican bassist. He was one of England's most utilized session bassists during the 1970s and 1980s, including Jeff Beck, and the Rod Stewart band from 1977 to 1980, but is probably best known for his later work with Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of The Doors.
