C. Balagopal is an Indian writer, industrialist, former civil servant and philanthropist from Kerala state, South India.

Biography

He studied economics at Loyola College before joining the IAS in 1977. He has worked in Manipur [1] and Kerala. [2] [3] [4]

He founded the company Peninsula Polymers (Penpol). [3] which manufactured indigenously developed biomedical devices after resigning from the civil service in 1983. After liberalization, the company merged with a Japanese company in 1999 to form Terumo Penpol Ltd., [5] which is one of the largest manufacturers of blood bag systems in the world. [6] [2] This company exports to more than 50 countries in the world. [3] He sold the company to Terumo Corporation in 2011. [7]

He is the founder of ANAHA Trust, which supports social entrepreneurship. [2]

He is a Director of the medical devices incubator TIMed. [2]

He has also worked as an independent director on the Board of the Federal Bank Ltd [2] [3] and is the current Chairman. [8] [9]

<i>The Thriller</i> 2010 Indian film

The Thriller is a 2010 Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film written and directed by B. Unnikrishnan. It stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Catherine Tresa, Siddique, Lalu Alex, Prajin, Mallika Kapoor and Sampath Raj in pivotal roles. It was released on 17 November. Later on, it was dubbed in Hindi under the same title. The film is based on the murder case of renowned banker Paul Muthoot.

Kerala Rapid Transit Corporation Limited, abbreviated to KRTCL, is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) formed to implement light metro projects in Kerala. Kerala has light metro systems planned for the cities of Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram. The SPV is fully owned by the State Government and the Chief Minister is the Chairman of the company. The head office of KRTCL is at Thiruvananthapuram, with branches at Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram. Earlier it was Kerala Monorail Corporation Ltd. Since monorail was not financially viable, DMRC proposed light metro.

Arun Bose is an Indian film director, screenwriter, editor and producer predominantly working in Malayalam Movies. He made his directorial debut with the Malayalam feature film 'Luca (2019)' starring Tovino Thomas and Ahaana Krishna in 2019. He has also produced, scripted, photographed and directed an experimental Tamil feature film titled ‘Alaiyin Thisai’. His second Malayalam feature film Mindiyum Paranjum produced by Salim Ahamed has Unni Mukundan and Aparna Balamurali in the lead. Arun Bose is also a visiting faculty at various film and media schools like L.V. Prasad College of Media Studies, Madras Christian College etc.
