The CFMOTO 650 is a line of motorcycles produced by CFMOTO. The range consists of the 650GT, 650MT, 650NK and 650TR-G.
The first of the CFMOTO 650 motorcycles is the 650NK, which was released in 2012. Five years later, two new models were released in 2017, the 650GT and 650MT. [1]
The CFMOTO CF650-2 is a police version of the 650TR-G. It is the first high-horsepower motorcycle designed and produced in China. Its in-line twin-cylinder eight-valve engine has a volume of 650 Cubic centimeters, with a net weight of 458 pounds (208 kilograms), it only takes 11 seconds for a motorcycle to accelerate from a standstill to a speed of 200 kilometers per hour. With an adjustable windshield, it can reduce wind resistance when driving at high speed, thereby saving fuel consumption.
The CF650-2 was highly recommended by the Police Equipment Procurement Center of the Ministry of Public Security, and was listed as a designated vehicle, and was adopted by many People's Police traffic units. [2] On 13 January 2014, two 2014 versions of the CF650-2 were tested by the traffic departments of the Hong Kong Police Force for a period of 7 weeks [3] to assess the suitability of introducing them to Hong Kong. Lai Chee-ying, also known as Jimmy Lai, is a Hong Kong businessman and politician. He founded Giordano, an Asian clothing retailer, Next Digital, a Hong Kong-listed media company, and the popular newspaper Apple Daily. He is one of the main contributors to the pro-democracy camp, especially to the Democratic Party. Although he is known as a Hong Kong political figure, he has been a British national since 1996. Lai is also an art collector.

The Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link is a 26 km (16 mi) long stretch of high-speed rail that runs along a dedicated underground rail corridor linking Hong Kong to mainland China. It is one of the most expensive infrastructure undertakings in Hong Kong's history. The line connects Kowloon with the high-speed rail network of China at Futian station in the technology hub of Shenzhen, then running north towards the commercial/ political hub of Guangzhou. As of August 2023 the line has an average ridership of 79,000 passengers a day.

The Manila hostage crisis, officially known as the Rizal Park hostage-taking incident, took place when a disgruntled former Philippine National Police officer named Rolando Mendoza hijacked a tourist bus in Rizal Park, Manila, Philippines, on August 23, 2010. The bus carried 25 people: 20 tourists, a tour guide from Hong Kong, and four local Filipinos. Mendoza claimed that he had been unfairly dismissed from his job, and demanded a fair hearing to defend himself.
A series of sit-in street protests, often called the Umbrella Revolution and sometimes used interchangeably with Umbrella Movement, or Occupy Movement, occurred in Hong Kong from 26 September to 15 December 2014.
Civil unrest occurred in Mong Kok, Hong Kong from the night of 8 February 2016 until the following morning.
