ACU Arad was a Romanian professional football club from the Arad County, founded in 1995. The club was dissolved in August 2011, after it withdrew from the Liga II championship due to financial difficulties. [1] [2]

ACU Arad played its home matches at Motorul Stadium, Arad, which has a capacity of 5,000 seats.

Stadionul Motorul (Arad) Romanian football stadium

Motorul Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Arad, Romania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of UTA Arad until the new Stadionul Francisc von Neuman is completed. The stadium holds 4000 people, has an electronic scoreboard, a small floodlight for training and also a secondary training pitch behind the west stand. It is located in the Aradul Nou neighbourhood, next to the Caraiman station on the number 3 tram line of the public transport network. Between February 2017 and August 2018 the stadium was under renovation, in this time the old pitch was changend and a new artificial pitch was instaled and the capacity of the stadium increased from 2000 to 4000 seats.

Arad is the capital city of Arad County, historically situated in the region of Crișana, and having extended into the neighboring Banat region in the 20th century. Arad is the third largest city in Western Romania, behind Timișoara and Oradea, and the 12th largest in Romania, with a population of 159,704.

Liga II is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name just before the start of the 2006–07 season, previously being called Divizia B. It is currently sponsored by betting company Casa Pariurilor, and thus officially known as the Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor.

The Cupa României is a football cup competition for Romanian teams which has been held annually since 1933–34, except during World War II. It is the country's main cup competition, being open to all clubs affiliated with the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) and the county football associations regardless of the league they belong to. Currently, the winner of the competition is granted a place in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers and plays the Supercupa României.

The 2007–08 Cupa României was the 70th season of the annual Romanian football knockout tournament. The final was held on May 10, 2008 at the Stadionul Ceahlăul in Piatra Neamţ.

Clubul Sportiv Municipal Slatina, commonly known as CSM Slatina, or simply Slatina, is a Romanian football club based in Slatina, Romania. The club was founded in 2009 as CSM Slatina and obtained two consecutive promotions from Liga IV to Liga II. In the summer of 2011 merged with FC Piatra Olt and moved from Slatina to Piatra Olt, changing its name in FC Olt Slatina. At the end of its first season in the second league, FC Olt relegated, but then merged with the football club from Slatina, Alro Slatina. Technically the new entity was a continuation of Alro Slatina, but with the name of FC Olt Slatina, whereas the original FC Olt Slatina was dissolved.
