Cadence Brace (born 25 February 2005) is a Canadian tennis player. She has a career high WTA singles ranking of 314 achieved on 28 October 2024. She also has a career high WTA doubles ranking of 503 achieved on 21 October 2024. [1]

Career

Brace reached her first ITF final at the W15 event in Lambare, Paraguay, in December 2021, losing to Lara Escauriza. [2]

In August 2022, she defeated third seed Claire Liu to reach the second round at the WTA Challenger event in Vancouver, [3] where she lost to eventual champion Valentini Grammatikopoulou. [4]

Brace made her WTA main draw debut at the 2022 Championnats Banque Nationale de Granby after qualifying for the singles main draw. [5] [6] She defeated seventh seed Kaja Juvan in the first round, [7] [8] before losing to Wang Xiyu in her next match. [9]

She won her first ITF title at the W35 tournament in Wichita, Kansas, in June 2024, defeating top seed Victoria Hu in the final. [10]

In August 2024, Brace joined the Louisiana State University tennis program. [11]

It was the twenty-seventh (men) and tenth (women) editions of the tournament, which was part of the 2022 ATP Challenger Tour and a WTA 250 tournament on the 2022 WTA Tour. It took place in Granby, Quebec, Canada between 21 and 28 August 2022. This year marked the first year the tournament was upgraded to a WTA Tour tournament from an ITF Women's World Tennis Tour tournament.
