Cam'Ron Jackson is an American football defensive tackle for the Florida Gators. He previously played for the Memphis Tigers.

Early life and high school

Jackson attended Haynesville High School in Haynesville, Louisiana. He was rated as a four-star recruit and committed to play college football for the LSU Tigers. [1] [2] However, Jackson flipped his commitment to play for the Memphis Tigers. [3]

College career

In his first two collegiate seasons in 2020 and 2021, Jackson appeared in 21 games and totaled ten tackles with three being for a loss and a sack and a half. [4] [5] In 2022, he notched 41 tackles with three being for a loss and a sack for the Tigers, [6] earning third-team all-American Athletic Conference honors. [7] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Jackson entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. [8]

Florida

Jackson transferred to play for the Florida Gators. [9] In week of the 2023 season, he notched five tackles against Tennessee and was named the co-Southeastern Conference (SEC) defensive lineman of the week. [10] During the 2023 season, Jackson appeared in 11 games, where he tallied 32 tackles with one being for a loss and two pass deflections. [11]
