The Carolina Panthers selected Horn in the first round (8th overall) in the 2021 NFL Draft. [11] Horn was the first cornerback and defensive back to be drafted in 2021. As the 8th overall pick, Horn was the highest draft pick from South Carolina since Jadeveon Clowney in 2014 and the highest drafted cornerback from South Carolina, overtaking Dunta Robinson (2004) and Stephon Gilmore (2012) who were both respectively drafted 10th overall.

On June 15, 2021, the Carolina Panthers signed Horn to a four-year, $21.11 million contract that includes a signing bonus of $12.71 million and is fully guaranteed upon signing. [12] Throughout training camp, Horn competed to be one of the starting cornerbacks against veterans Donte Jackson and A. J. Bouye. Head coach Matt Rhule named Horn and Jackson the starting cornerbacks to begin the regular season.

In Week 2, Horn recorded his first career interception off Jameis Winston against the New Orleans Saints in the 26–7 win. [13] In Week 3 during their 24–9 win against the Houston Texans, Horn suffered a fractured foot and was placed on injured reserve on September 27. [14] [15]

Horn returned in 2022 as a starting cornerback for the Panthers. On December 25, 2022, it was announced that Horn would miss the remainder of the season after suffering a broken wrist. [16] He finished the season with 53 tackles, and a team-leading three interceptions and seven passes defensed through 13 starts. [17] [18]

In Week 1 of the 2023 season, Horn suffered a hamstring injury and was placed on injured reserve on September 15, 2023. [19] He was activated on December 2. [20]

On April 26, 2024, the Panthers picked up the fifth-year option on Horn's contract. [21]
