The San Marino Futsal Championship is the premier futsal championship in San Marino. It was founded in 2006. The San Marino championship currently consists of 12 teams. Organized by Federazione Sammarinese Giuoco Calcio.
Futsal is a variant of association football played on a hard court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It can be considered a version of five-a-side football.
San Marino, officially the Republic of San Marino, also known as the Most Serene Republic of San Marino, is an enclaved microstate surrounded by Italy, situated on the Italian Peninsula on the northeastern side of the Apennine Mountains. The San Marino national football team is the national football team of San Marino, controlled by the San Marino Football Federation (FSGC). The team represents the second smallest population of any UEFA member.
San Marino Calcio is a Sammarinese expatriated football club based in Serravalle, playing in the Italian football league system, unlike fellow Sammarinese clubs. Being a full member of the Italian league system means the club would represent Italy in continental competitions should it qualify, similarly to Monaco representing France and Welsh clubs representing England.

The Albanian national futsal team represents Albania in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Albanian Football Association. The team debuted in the 2005 UEFA Futsal Championship qualifiers. They won the first match 8–6 against England, and then they drew to Cyprus, but failed to qualify because of goal difference. In the 2007 UEFA Futsal Championship qualifiers, Albania made a bad performance by losing all of its matches and finishing last in its group. In the 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup qualifiers, Albania was drawn against Slovenia, Greece, and Malta. They ended up in second place winning two matches and losing only one. In the end, Slovenia topped the group and advanced to the two-legged play-offs.
The 2009 San Marino and Rimini's Coast motorcycle Grand Prix was the thirteenth round of the 2009 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 4–6 September 2009 at the Misano World Circuit. The MotoGP race was won by Valentino Rossi who extended his lead in the championship to 30 points.
