Futsal Ekstraklasa is the premier futsal league in Poland. It was founded November 6, 1994. Organized by the Futsal Ekstraklasa Sp. z o.o. and is played under UEFA and FIFA rules, currently the league consists of 14 teams.

However, the first two rounds of games were postponed because of legal uncertainties about the number of teams in the competition following an association-wide corruption scandal.

Futsal is a quickly growing sport in Poland. The national futsal team was created in 1992 by the Polish Football Association.
