The men's canoe slalom C-2 event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro took place from 8 - 11 August at the Deodoro Olympic Whitewater Stadium.
The gold medal was won by Ladislav Škantár & Peter Škantár of Slovakia. [1]
It was the last appearance of the men's C-2, replaced by the women's C-1 for Tokyo 2020 in order to bring the slalom canoeing programme to gender equality (in 2016 and before, there were 3 men's events to only 1 women's event).

Juraj Minčík is a Slovak slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1993 to 2008.
Canoeing at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London were contested in two main disciplines: canoe slalom, from 29 July to 2 August, and canoe sprint, from 6 to 11 August. He started out as a specialist in the kayak (K1) category, but in 2009 he also started competing in canoe doubles (C2) alongside David Florence. In his last season (2016) he concentrated on the C2 class exclusively.

Canoeing competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, are scheduled to be held at the Rio Canete located in the city of Lunahuaná (slalom) and Albufera Medio Mundo in the city of Huacho (sprint).
