Canton of Montbéliard

The canton of Montbéliard is an administrative division of the Doubs department, eastern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Montbéliard.^[1]

Doubs is a department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of eastern France named after the Doubs River.

In the administrative divisions of France, the department is one of the three levels of government below the national level, between the administrative regions and the commune.
