The canton of Pithiviers is an administrative division of the Loiret department, central France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Pithiviers. [1]

Loiret is a department in the Centre-Val de Loire region of north-central France.

In the administrative divisions of France, the department is one of the three levels of government below the national level, between the administrative regions and the commune.
