The Hallett Wind Farm is the collective name for four wind farms near the town of Hallett, South Australia. They are owned and operated by AGL Energy.
Blood Hill is a wind farm near Hemsby in Norfolk, England. It is the smallest windfarm owned by E.ON; taking up 3 hectares. It has a nameplate capacity of 2.25MW which is enough to power 1000 homes at peak. There were 10 Vestas V27-225 kW turbines which were 30 metres tall and stand on top of Blood Hill. They are visible from the villages of Hemsby and Winterton-on-Sea. Blood Hill began operating in December 1992 and was one of the first windfarms in the United Kingdom.
The Ballywater Wind Farm is located between the villages of Kilmuckridge and Ballygarrett, in County Wexford, Ireland. The onshore wind farm, which commenced operation in 2005, has a capacity of 42 MW. It consists of 21 wind turbines, and is visible from the R742 regional road.

The Fowler Ridge Wind Farm is a wind farm in Benton County, Indiana, near the city of Fowler, IN about 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Lafayette and 90 miles (140 km) northwest of Indianapolis. Fowler Ridge was originally developed in 2005 and 2006 by Orion Energy, LLC and Vision Energy, LLC and later sold in 2007 to BP and Dominion Resources. The project was constructed beginning in 2008 in two phases and has a nameplate capacity of 600 MW.

The Alta Wind Energy Center is a wind farm located in Tehachapi Pass of the Tehachapi Mountains, in Kern County, California. As of 2022, it is the largest wind farm in the United States, with a combined installed capacity of 1,550 MW (2,080,000 hp). The project, being developed near Tehachapi Pass Wind Farm— site of the first large-scale wind farms installed in the U.S. in the 1970s and 1980s—is "a powerful illustration of the growing size and scope of modern wind projects".

Formed in 2004 as a partnership between TransCanada Corporation (62%) and Innergex Renewable Energy (38%), the Longueuil-based company has built 5 wind farms with a combined capacity of 589.5 MW in the Gaspé peninsula delivering power under a 20-year contract signed in 2005 with Hydro-Québec. The company's sixth project, a 150-MW wind farm in Les Méchins, Quebec, was cancelled in 2010, after Cartier failed to reach an agreement with landowners.

The Gros-Morne Wind Farm is a large 211.5 megawatt (MW) wind farm comprising 141 1.5MW wind turbines that provides electricity to over 40,000 homes. It is located about 50 kilometers north-west of Gaspe, Quebec and it is owned and operated by Cartier Wind Energy. The wind farm was constructed in 2 phases, the first phase, involving 100.5 MW and 67 wind turbines, was completed on November 29, 2011. Construction of phase II involved 111MW and 74 wind turbines, and it was finalized on November 6, 2012.
