Carlos Palau (born March 4, 1959) is a Spanish former racing driver.

Contents

He started racing in motorbikes switching to cars in 1986 racing at Spanish Renault Turbo Cup. He had a long term relation with Ford working in the development of the Mondeo 4x4 FIA II supertourer. He joined Ford UK team in 1994 FIA Supertouring World Championship at Donington.
He raced 3 times in 24 Hours of Le Mans winning GT Class in 1994 with Porsche.
In GT Class he raced with big brands as Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Lister and Saleen.
With Saleen he won the Spanish GT2 Championship in 1999 and Spanish GT Championship in 2001.

FIA GT Championship Auto racing championship in Europe

The FIA GT Championship was a sports car racing series organized by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) at the behest of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship was mostly concentrated in Europe, but throughout the years has visited other continents including Asia and South America. At the end of 2009, the championship was replaced by the FIA GT1 World Championship, which morphed into the FIA GT Series for 2013.

Marc Lieb

Marc Lieb is a former German Porsche factory motor-racing driver. He won the FIA GT Championship in 2003 and 2005, and the European Le Mans Series in 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2010. He won the 24 Hours Nürburgring four times, one time the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016, in the 2008 12 Hours of Sebring, in the 2003 24 hours of Spa and in the 2007 Petit Le Mans. He is also the 2016 FIA World Endurance Champion.

Larbre Compétition is a French auto racing team founded in 1988 by Jack Leconte. Based at the Circuit du Val de Vienne in Le Vigeant, Larbre has had considerable success in the Porsche Carrera Cup, French GT Championship, and international FIA GT Championship. Previously working with major automobile manufacturers like Porsche, Ferrari, and Chrysler, Larbre ran one of the factory Aston Martin squads in the Le Mans Series where they won the 2006 GT1 class championship.
