Caroline Pickering Puamau (born 1 May 1980) [1] is a 2-time Olympic and national record-holding swimmer from Fiji. She swam at the 1996 and 2000 Olympics; [2] as well as at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. [3]

She also competed in the 2003 South Pacific Games in Suva, winning two gold medals, three silver and one bronze, [4] and in the 2007 South Pacific Games in Apia, where she won two gold medals, three silver and two bronze. [5] She lit the cauldron during the opening ceremony at the 2003 Games. [6]

Puamau declined to take part in the qualifiers for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, stating: "Right now I'm into coaching." [7]

Jason Edward Dunford, OGW, OLY, also known as Samaki Mkuu, is a Kenyan Olympic swimmer, media personality, rapper and entrepreneur. During his swimming career he was predominantly a butterfly and freestyle sprinter winning gold medals at the Commonwealth Games, Universiade, All-Africa Games and African Championships, and reaching finals at the Olympics, World Championships and Short Course World Championships. He also held African, Universiade and Olympic records. He has worked as a broadcast journalist for the BBC, is a co-founder and adviser to software company, Safi and currently serves as the CEO of Baila Entertainment whilst performing as Samaki Mkuu, one half of the rap duo Romantico & Samaki Mkuu.

Fiji at the 2008 Summer Olympics Sporting event delegation

Fiji sent a team to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The country's flagbearer during the Games' opening ceremony was female sprinter Makelesi Bulikiobo. Fiji was represented by a total of six athletes.

She turned pro when she competed in the South Pacific Games in New Caledonia, 2011.

Susannah Claire "Suki" Brownsdon is an English former competitive swimmer who won a silver medal in the women's 100-metre breaststroke at the 1981 European Championships, and represented Great Britain at four consecutive Olympic Games, with her best results being sixth place in the 100-metre breaststroke final in 1980 and seventh place in the 200-metre breaststroke final in 1984. She also represented England at three Commonwealth Games, winning a total of five medals.
