A strip mall, strip center or strip plaza is a type of shopping center common in North America where the stores are arranged in a row, with a sidewalk in front. Strip malls are typically developed as a unit and have large parking lots in front. Many of them face major traffic arterials and tend to be self-contained with few pedestrian connections to surrounding neighborhoods. Smaller strip malls may be called mini-malls, while larger ones may be called power centers or big box centers. In 2013, The New York Times reported that the United States had 65,840 strip malls. In 2020, The Wall Street Journal wrote that in the United States, despite the continuing retail apocalypse starting around 2010, investments and visitor numbers were increasing to strip malls.
Shopper's World is a retail park in Framingham, Massachusetts. The original facility is of historical significance as one of the first suburban shopping malls in the United States upon opening in 1951; it was demolished and replaced by the current open-air facility in 1994. The retail park, with the adjacent Natick Mall in Natick, are major components of the Golden Triangle shopping district in the center of MetroWest, situated between Route 9 and Route 30.

The Brea Mall is a shopping mall located in the Orange County city of Brea, California. Since 1998, the mall has been owned and operated by the Simon Property Group. It is home to four major department stores, 179 specialty shops and boutiques, and a food court. It is 1,281,795 sq ft (119,083 m2). The anchors are Macy's, Macy's Men's & Home, JCPenney, and Nordstrom with one vacant anchor last occupied by Sears that has yet to be redeveloped into Life Time Fitness, retail, entertainment, and apartments.

In retail, an "anchor tenant", sometimes called an "anchor store", "draw tenant", or "key tenant", is a considerably larger tenant in a shopping mall, often a department store or retail chain. They are typically located at the ends of malls, sometimes in the middle. With their broad appeal, they are intended to attract a significant cross-section of the shopping public to the center. They are often offered steep discounts on rent in exchange for signing long-term leases in order to provide steady cash flows for the mall owners. Some examples of anchor stores in the United States are: Macy's, Sears, JCPenney, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard's, Kohl's, and Target. And in Canada; Hudson's Bay, Sears (formerly), Target (formerly), Zellers, Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack (formerly), TJX Companies, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sporting Life.
Kingsway Mall is a shopping centre located in central Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The mall, constructed in 1976, completed a $70-million redevelopment from 2007–2009. The "Revealing" held at the weekend of 13 November 2009, saw the name change, introduced the public to the new mall, and opened the winter shopping season. Bordered by three major commuter roads, Kingsway Mall is situated near NAIT and the Royal Alexandra Hospital. On 14 March 2014, its Target location opened, but closed in 2015. Also, in 2015, Forever 21 opened in the former Smitty's and Sheffield Express. It also had the last Smart Set in Edmonton. Hot Topic opened in the mall in the Fall of 2015, and it is the first in Edmonton. In 2017, they announced they would go under a renovation adding a new wing of the mall in the former Target. On July 8, 2021, Walmart announced that it would be exiting its current Westmount Centre Location and relocating to Kingsway Mall in the former Sears space on October 20, 2022. A portion of the former Sears where the store's Sears Home entrance and section were located, was not taken over by Walmart, and that space was replaced by Fit 4 Less, on February 22, 2023.
Lesso Home New York is a planned mixed-use development center located in Westbury, New York, on Old Country Road and Merchants Concourse, currently owned by Lesso Mall Development Long Island Inc. The center is being built inside the mostly unoccupied Mall at the Source, which was named for its former anchor store Fortunoff operated until June 2009.
The Shops at Montebello is a shopping mall mainly located within the city limits of Montebello, California, with over 120 national and local retail outlets such as Aeropostale, Disney Store, Hollister, Victoria’s Secret and BJ's Restaurant & Brewery. A small portion of its eastern side is actually within the city limits of Rosemead. It features major department stores, children's stores, smaller shops such as beauty and bath stores, health stores and salons, as well as a small food court. The boundary line between Montebello and Rosemead runs through the eastern end of the mall. Policing is provided by the City of Montebello. It was managed by The Macerich Company before being sold to Simon Property Group in 2011. The mall features 758,504 sq ft of leasable retail space. As of 2019, Simon no longer owns the mall. Pacific Retail announced ownership of the mall on the company Instagram page on January 24, 2019.
Plaza del Norte is a 698,581 sq ft (64,900.3 m2) shopping center located in Hatillo, Puerto Rico currently owned and managed by Retail Value, Inc. It is the largest shopping center in northwestern Puerto Rico, with over 130 stores and fast food restaurants.
Select CITYWALK is a shopping centre located in the Saket District Centre Sector-6, Pushp Vihar, New Delhi. The mall has a built-up area of 1,300,000 sq ft (120,000 m2), with 600,000 sq ft (56,000 m2) of retail space. The mall is spread over 6 acres (24,000 m2) and includes a 4 km long multiplex, serviced apartments, offices and public spaces. The mall was developed by Select Infrastructure, a joint venture between the Select group and the Aarone Group. It was opened to the public in October 2007.

It is managed and partially owned by David Hocker & Associates and is home to over 90 specialty shops, 5 anchor store tenants, an 8-screen Cinemark movie theater, and a 600-seat food court. The anchor stores are Barnes & Noble, Jos. A. Bank, JCPenney, Ulta Beauty, 2 Belk stores, Cinemark, and Dick's Sporting Goods. There is 1 vacant anchor store that was once Sears.
Centro Comercial Aricanduva, also known as Shopping Aricanduva, is the third largest shopping mall in Latin America behind the Albrook Mall in Panama, and Antea LifeStyle Center in Mexico, and one of the largest in the world. It has over 500 shops, 14 cinemas and 14,700 parking spaces. The mall has 265,500 m2 (2,858,000 sq ft) of built area, out of which 257,047 m2 (2,766,830 sq ft) is leasable space, making it the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere. The mall is located in the Aricanduva Avenue, district of Cidade Líder, São Paulo. Its slogan is "Gigante como São Paulo", which means "Gigantic like São Paulo."
Guadalupe is a neighborhood located in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is surrounded by Barros Filho, Honório Gurgel, Marechal Hermes, Deodoro, Ricardo de Albuquerque, Costa Barros and Anchieta. Its designation is a homage to Our Lady of Guadalupe which main church in Rio de Janeiro is located in this neighbourhood. The neighbourhood was built as a project of former Casa Popular Foundation and it was inaugurated by president Getúlio Vargas. Are also notable in the neighbourhood the "Igloos of Guadalupe", a set of houses in hemisphere shape, looking like igloos, and built in the late 1940s on Calama street.

ABQ Uptown is an outdoor luxury shopping mall owned by Simon Property Group in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is one of four malls located in the Albuquerque area, and houses 51 different stores. Its anchor tenants include J.Crew, The North Face, and Lush, as well as the only Apple Store in New Mexico. The outdoor environment of this mall includes music, lights and seasonal decorations.

At the end of 2015 it had nearly 250 stores across France, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and in Switzerland, of which more than 180 are in France. In 2010, it generated nearly €323 million in sales. In 2015 it employed over 5,500 people.
