Casbah Club is a British mod rock band formed in Finchley, London in 2004.
The band consisted of guitarist/vocalist Simon Townshend (brother of Pete Townshend and touring member of The Who), bassist Bruce Foxton (The Jam, Stiff Little Fingers), drummer Mark Brzezicki (Procol Harum, Big Country), and rhythm guitarist Bruce Watson (Big Country). Scottish singer JJ Gilmour sang with the band in its earliest incarnation; a live album entitled Eastworld from this period was released.
Watson left the band to concentrate on his work with Four Good Men prior to re-forming Big Country with Brzezicki and Tony Butler for a 25th anniversary tour in 2007.
Casbah Club's debut album, Venustraphobia , was released in June 2006. During that year they toured with The Who, wherein Simon Townshend played a support set as a member of Casbah Club before playing the headlining set as a member of The Who.
As of September 2008, Casbah Club has been on hiatus as Townshend continues to tour with The Who and Bruce Foxton tours with From The Jam. Bruce Watson and Mark Brzezizki currently record and tour with the reformed Big Country.

The Jam were an English rock band formed in 1972 at Sheerwater Secondary School in Woking, Surrey. They released 18 consecutive top 40 singles in the United Kingdom, from their debut in 1977 to their break-up in December 1982, including four number one hits. As of 2007, "That's Entertainment" and "Just Who Is the 5 O'Clock Hero?" remain the best-selling import singles of all time in the UK. They released one live album and six studio albums, the last of which, The Gift, reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. When the group disbanded in 1982, their first 15 singles were re-released and all placed within the top 100.
Bruce Douglas Foxton is an English singer, songwriter and musician.
The Buffalo Skinners is the sixth studio album by the Scottish band Big Country, which was released in 1993. Two songs, "We're Not In Kansas" and "Ships", are re-recordings of songs from their previous album. The difference is more noticeable on "Ships" which features heavy use of guitars. The album featured two UK top 30 hits, "Alone" and "Ships".

He is the younger brother of the Who's guitarist Pete Townshend, and is most associated with The Who and the various side projects of its original members. Simon Townshend has also performed with numerous other acts including Pearl Jam, Dave Grohl and Jeff Beck.

"Love, Reign o'er Me", subtitled "Pete's Theme", is a song by English rock band The Who. Written and composed by guitarist Pete Townshend, it was released on 27 October 1973 as the second single from the band's sixth studio album and second rock opera, Quadrophenia. It is the final song on the album, and has been a concert staple for years. The song peaked at number 76 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 54 on Cash Box.

"Somebody Else" is a song by Scottish rock band Big Country, released in 2000 as the third and final single from their eighth studio album Driving to Damascus (1999). The song was written by Stuart Adamson and Ray Davies, and was produced by Rafe McKenna and Big Country. "Somebody Else" reached number 126 in the UK Singles Chart and was the band's final single release prior to lead vocalist and guitarist Stuart Adamson's suicide in 2001.
