Casey Kozlowski (born March 31,1987) is currently serving as an Ashtabula County Commissioner and is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 99th district. [1] [2] He was elected in November 2010 and served one term during the 129th General Assembly. He sponsored seven pieces of legislation,of which,four bills were signed into law by Governor Kasich. He lost reelection in 2012.
On January 22,2014,Kozlowski announced [2] that he would be seeking the office of Ashtabula County Commissioner. Kozlowski made his candidacy public after the incumbent commissioner announced he would not be seeking re-election. [3]
Kozlowski ran in the November general election against Democratic Party candidate Stephen McClure and Independent candidate Willis Clay. Kozlowski won the election with over 50% of the vote in the three-way race. [4]
Kozlowski graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School located in Andover,Ohio in 2005 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Management from Ohio University.

Michael J. O'Brien is the Representative of the 64th district of the Ohio House of Representatives. O'Brien is a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley and graduate from John F. Kennedy High School as well as Youngstown State University. O'Brien served on Warren City Council from 1983 to 1993 before being elected as a Trumbull County Commissioner in 1994. He served as a commissioner for ten years before being elected Mayor of Warren in 2005,serving until 2012. O'Brien announced in early 2014 that he would seek a seat in the Ohio House of Representatives to replace Tom Letson who was term-limited. He would win a three-way primary race with 60% of the vote for the Democratic nomination. He faced former Republican state Representative Randy Law in the general election,in what became a very tight race. He defeated Law 49%-44% to take the seat. His district includes half of Trumbull County and the southern portion of Ashtabula County.
A special election to the United States House of Representatives for Ohio's 8th congressional district was held to determine the successor to John Boehner,who resigned his seat on October 31,2015. Republican Governor of Ohio John Kasich set the primary election for March 15,2016,and the general election for June 7. The runoff was scheduled because none of the candidates for Senate received 50% of the statewide vote in the general election. Also up for election were all of Georgia's executive officers and legislative seats,as well as one seat on the Georgia Public Service Commission. The Republican Party decisively won every single statewide office in Georgia except for the Federal Senate race which went Democratic.
