Extra Virgin is the debut album by British trip hop band Olive, originally released in 1996. The album includes the single "You're Not Alone", which originally reached number 42 in the UK Singles Chart in 1996 and when re-released in 1997 it reached number one. Two other singles were released from the album: "Outlaw" and "Miracle". The trip hop influence of Massive Attack and Portishead, while in small quantities, are evident, mixed in with synth-based electronic dance.

It was released on 12 February 1996, knocking Oasis's (What's the Story) Morning Glory? off the number 1 spot in the UK Albums Chart for a week. The album is currently certified Platinum by the BPI. Buffalocomotive is an American rock band formed in 2012, in Joliet, Illinois–a suburb of Chicago. The founding members, bassist/lead vocalist/lyricist Brahm Taylor and guitarist/backing vocalist Marc Kaducak, have been collaborating musically since 1987. The duo has teamed with a number of percussionists including drummer Scott Carneghi who joined Taylor and Kaducak to form a power trio, even prior to the Buffalocomotive moniker, after completing the final leg of the 2003 Ozzfest Tour with Grade 8. The current lineup includes drummer Jim Shea.

The lyrics are based on her separation from motocross racer Carey Hart, which occurred six months prior to the release.

The Morning After is the 12th studio album by British rock band James, serving as the second of two mini-albums. As their first mini-album The Night Before was being released in April 2010, the band began working on its follow-up. Spending less than a week in the studio, the band self-produced the sessions, with Lee Muddy Baker handling vocal production. The Morning After featured slower and softer songs, in contrast to the happy, upbeat ones heard on The Night Before. Preceded by festival appearances in the UK, Greece and Portugal, The Morning After was released on 6 September. The album reached number 19 in the UK, and received a mainly favourable response from music critics, with some of them stating it was the better release out of the two mini-albums. The band promoted it with tours in North America, Portugal and the UK.
Wonders of the Younger is the sixth studio album by American rock band Plain White T's. It was released by Hollywood Records on December 7, 2010, and was produced by Ian Kirkpatrick. The collection of the songs was designed to evoke the feeling of awe and the yearning for adventure remembered from youth. On September 9, the album art was revealed on the band's official MySpace account. On September 13, the album finished up with mastering engineer Brian "Big Bass" Gardner at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood.
Any Man in America is the sixth studio album and ninth album overall by alternative rock band Blue October. The album was recorded at Matchbox Studios in Austin, Texas between Summer of 2010 and March 2011, and was released August 16, 2011 by Justin Furstenfeld's Up/Down Records and distributed through RED Distribution. The album was produced by Tim Palmer, who has previously worked with artists such as David Bowie, Robert Plant, The Cure, U2 and Pearl Jam and had mixed Blue October's album History for Sale. The artwork on the album cover is a drawing of Justin Furstenfeld drawn by Tim Palmer's daughter Bluebell, who was three years old at the time.

Tears of the Enchanted Mainframe is the debut album by the American Hard rock band Buffalocomotive, released worldwide via iTunes and Amazon MP3 on August 27, 2012. Buffalocomotive recorded the album in Chicago, Illinois and Las Vegas, Nevada between December 2005 and January 2012, with most of the recording conducted via telecommuting. The album established Buffalocomotive's desire to fuse heavy instrumentation with melodic vocals and cerebral lyrics that are both fantasy/science fiction-focused as well as being indicative of the human experience.

In general, the album talks about Carpenter's personal experiences, friendship, love and teenage problems.
