Catalan Workers' Left (in Catalan: Esquerra Catalana dels Treballadors) was a political party in Northern Catalonia, France. ECT was formed in 1972, with its main base in Perpignan.
ECT was linked to the Socialist Party of National Liberation (PSAN). In 1977 a group, linked to the Socialist Party of National Liberation - Provisional (PSAN-p), broke away from ECT and formed the Socialist Organisation of National Liberation (OSAN).
The newspaper of the organization was La Nova Falç.
ECT was dissolved in 1981, but many of its cadres continued to work in other political outfits, like Catalan Unity (UC).
Josep-Lluís Carod-Rovira is a Catalan politician. He was the vice-president of the Catalan Government from 2006 to 2010. From 1996 to 2008 he was the leader of the Republican Left of Catalonia . Col·lectius d'Obrers en Lluita was a Catalan left-nationalist trade union. COLL functioned as the trade union wing of the Socialist Party of National Liberation - Provisional (PSAN-p). COLL, which was formed by members of CC.OO. emerged in January 1977, with cells in Barcelona, Lleida and Majorca. In September the same year COLL broke away from CC.OO.

Left Grouping of the Valencian Country was a political group created in 1982 out of a nationalist splinter-group of the Communist Party of the Valencian Country (PCPV), the 'possibilist' sector of the Socialist Party of National Liberation of the Catalan Countries (PSAN) and independent leftwing nationalists. AEPV was registered as a political party. Soon after its foundation AEPV initiated cooperation with the Nationalist Party of the Valencian Country (PNPV) and the Left Unity of the Valencian Country (UEPV), with whom AEPV founded the coalition Valencian People's Union (UPV).
The Socialist Party of National Liberation was an independentist and communist party active in Catalonia. The PSAN was created in 1968 following a split in the more leftist sector of the National Front of Catalonia. Initially it was only present the Catalonia, but later also gained presence in the french region of Roussillon, the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands. The party was illegal and clandestine until 1978, when all parties were fully legalised, after the Franco Dictatorship.
The Movement for the Defence of the Land was the united front of the socialist independence organisations of the Catalan Countries; specifically the Socialist Party of National Liberation (PSAN), Independentists of the Catalan Countries (IPC). In 1986 the movement split in two sectors: the MDT-PSAN and the MDT-IPC. In 1991 the Communist Party of the Valencians (PCV) joined the MDT. The MDT dissolved itself in 2014, and formed a new party: Poble Lliure.
Left Nationalists was a Catalan socialist and independentist political organization founded in 1979 from historical militants of the Socialist Party of National Liberation (PSAN), National Front of Catalonia, Catalan Communist Collective and independents linked to social movements. Its structure was based in local assemblies, and claimed the right to self-determination of Catalonia within a confederal Catalan Countries. NE also defined itself as national-popular and socialist. The party attracted activist from social movements, specially environmentalists, feminists, gays, youth, etc. The most representative were Jordi Carbonell, Josep Maria Espinàs, Magda Oranich, Avel·lí Artís i Gener and Armand de Fluvià. NE disbanded in 1984.
Socialist Party of National Liberation - Provisional (in Catalan: Partit Socialista d'Alliberament Nacional - Provisional, PSAN-P. PSANp or PSAN (p)) was a pro-Catalan independence political party in the Catalan Countries. The PSAN-P was formed in 1974, as a split of the Socialist Party of National Liberation (PSAN). The main leaders of the party were Carles Castellanos, Eva Serra i Puig and Agustí Alcoberro.
Endavant–Organització Socialista d'Alliberament Nacional (in Catalan: Forward–Socialist Organisation of National Liberation, Endavant (OSAN); commonly referred to only as Endavant) is a pro-Catalan independence, socialist and feminist political party in the Catalan Countries, located primarily in Catalonia. Endavant was formed in July 2000 as a refoundation of the Platform for the Unity of Action, with the support of independents and local collectives. Endavant supports and is part of the Popular Unity Candidates (CUP).

Carles Castellanos i Llorenç is a writer, translator, and political activist of the Catalan independence movement. He holds a PhD in Translation from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, has been director of the Department of Translation and Interpreting of this University, and is currently a professor of doctoral studies in this Department. He is a member of the Catalan National Assembly and was vice-president from 2012 to 2013, as well as a member of Poble Lliure and the Popular Unity Candidacy of Barcelona.
Socialist Organisation of National Liberation was a pro-Catalan independence radical socialist political party in the Catalan Countries. OSAN was formed by Pere Iu Baron i Xixell and his affiliates who split from Catalan Workers' Left in 1977. The party was located in Northern Catalonia and maintained close relations with Catalan separatist organizations as well as Galician and Basque ones, specifically the Galician People's Union and Herri Batasuna.
The Unified Socialist Party of the Valencian Country was a Valencian political party created in 1977 by the Comunistes Independents del País Valencià, a group of Valencian communists previously linked to the Valencian Marxist Front (FMV) who were disillusioned with the timid nationalist policies of the Communist Party of the Valencian Country (PCPV), as well as some members of the Nationalist Party of the Valencian Country (PNPV) left-wing faction. The party was led by Domènec Serneguet, its general secretary, and was officially registered in January 1978.
