Landulile Cathrine Dlamini (born 8 January 1962) is a South African politician who currently serves as Member of the Legislature in the Mpumalanga Province and the MEC for the Department of Education. She is also the former mayor of the City of Mbombela [1] [2]
Dlamini served as councillor for the Ehlanzeni District Municipality from 2006 and had served as mayor of the then Greater Malalane Local Municipality which governed Malalane,Hectorspuit and KaMhlushwa. In 2011,she was appointed the director of evaluation and monitoring in then premier David Mabuza's office before she became the mayor for the City of Mbombela. [3]
In 2016,Dlamini became a member of South Africa's Parliament and served in various committees,including chairing the Portfolio Committee on Social Services. [4] [5]
In 2018 Dlamini signalled her interests in leading the province of Mpumalanga as chairperson of the ruling African National Congress after then chairperson David Mabuza left it vacant to become the national deputy president.
She is now serving as Member of the Mpumalanga Executive Council for Education,appointed by current ANC provincial chairperson and Premier Mandla Ndlovu. [6] [7] [8]

David Dabede Mabuza is a South African politician who served as deputy president of South Africa from February 2018 to February 2023. He was the deputy president of the African National Congress (ANC) from December 2017 to December 2022 and was previously the premier of Mpumalanga from 2009 to 2018,throughout the presidency of his former political ally Jacob Zuma. Mabuza served as a Member of Parliament from 2018 until his resignation in 2023.
Refilwe Maria Tsipane,known as Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane,is a South African politician and a party member of the African National Congress (ANC),who has served as the 7th Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces since 2024. Prior to serving in parliament,she served as the 5th Premier of Mpumalanga between 2018 and 2024. She succeeded former Premier David Mabuza after he was appointed Deputy President of South Africa. Mtsweni-Tsipane was also a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature and previously served as the MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
Makgabo Reginah Mhaule is a South African politician from Mpumalanga who is currently serving as Deputy Minister of Basic Education. She has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly since 2018.

She previously served as the Mpumalanga MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from 2021 to 2022,as the Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature from 2019 to 2021 and as the MEC for Social Development from 2016 to 2019. Shiba is a member of the African National Congress (ANC).
Vusumuzi Robert Shongwe is a South African politician who is currently serving in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature. He formerly served in the Executive Council in Mpumalanga province. Between September and November 2015,Shongwe served as acting Premier of Mpumalanga while Premier David Mabuza was on sick leave. Tsietsi Peter Nyoni is a South African politician and a member of the African National Congress (ANC) who currently serves as the Deputy Director-General for the Mpumalanga Provincial Government. He previously served as one of the executive directors for the Mpumalanga Human Settlements Department until he was removed in 2013 from the position by then Premier David Mabuza. He was appointed to head the Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs in the province in August 2016 until February 2020 when current Premier Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane made him the provincial government's Deputy Director-General.
Sasekani Janet Manzini is a South African politician who currently serves as the MEC for Health in the Mpumalanga provincial government,appointed in July 2018 as well as the Provincial spokesperson of the African National Congress (ANC) in Mpumalanga. She was elected to serve on the ANC's provincial executive committee (PEC) in December 2015 from the position of provincial African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) secretary. Manzini served as the MEC for the provincial Department of Public Works,Roads and Transport from August 2016 to July 2018. She has been a member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since February 2016.
Mandla Jeffrey Msibi is a South African politician and educator who has been a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since May 2019. He was the MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from May 2019 to February 2021,theMEC for Agriculture,Rural Development,Land and Environmental Affairs from February 2021 until his dismissal in October 2021 and the MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs from October 2022 until June 2024. Prior to serving in the legislature,he was the speaker and a councillor in the Mbombela Local Municipality. Msibi is a member of the African National Congress.
Yvonne Nkwenkwezi "Pinky" Phosa is a South African politician who served as a Member of the National Assembly for the African National Congress from 2014 until 2019. She was the chairperson of parliament's Standing Committee on Appropriations from 2016 until 2019. Before her election to Parliament,she served in the Mpumalanga provincial government. Phosa is the wife of former ANC treasurer-general and previous Mpumalanga premier Mathews Phosa.
Petrus Simon "Pat" Ngomane is a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress,he was elected to the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature in May 2014. He served as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Community Safety,Security and Liaison from August 2016 until May 2019,when he was appointed MEC for Finance,Economic Development and Tourism. Ngomane served in the position until an executive council reshuffle in February 2021.
Prince Vusumuzi Mkhatshwa is a South African politician who served as Mpumalanga's Member of the Executive Council for finance,economic development and tourism from 2021 until 2022. A member of the African National Congress,he previously served as the deputy speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature from 2019 to 2021.
