Catherine Malia Godbold [4] (23 September 1974 – 4 May 2018) [5] was an Australian actress. She was best known for her role as Deborah Hale Regnery on The Saddle Club and as Meg Bowman in Home and Away . [6] Following the cancellation of Newlyweds in which she starred as Jules Carter, Godbold began doing voice over work in between auditions. In 1997, she was cast as Sondra Pike in Neighbours . [7]

Godbold was the daughter of Australian broadcaster Rosemary Margan, whom she portrayed in the Graham Kennedy biopic The King . [6] In May 2007, after The Saddle Club was picked up for a third season, Godbold was diagnosed with brain cancer. She had the tumour removed and began chemotherapy. [6]

A second brain tumour developed in January 2018, which proved to be terminal. Godbold died on 4 May 2018, aged 43. [8] Godbold's funeral was held on 10 May 2018. Godbold and her mother are buried together at Springvale Botanical Cemetery. [9]

Ramsay Street is the fictional cul-de-sac in which the characters of the Australian soap opera Neighbours live. The street is set in the equally fictional Melbourne suburb of Erinsborough. Neighbours storylines primarily centre on the residents of the street, which was named after Jack Ramsay, the grandfather of original character Max Ramsay. A blackjack game between Jack and Sam Robinson determined whose name the street would be named after. Only six houses on the street are featured on a regular basis; numbers 22 to 32. Number 34 was featured for the only time in 2018. The cul-de-sac is at the end of a long street and the rest of the houses are on the other side of the main road which bisects it. A storyline within the show saw the name of the street nearly changed to Ramsbottom Street. Harold Bishop led a protest against it and won.

Bridget Parker is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Eloise Mignon. In 2007 the show was revamped to boost falling ratings in Australia. As part of this, the show's focus returned to family dynamics and the character of Bridget and her family were created and introduced. Bridget made her first on-screen appearance on 23 July 2007. She arrived in Erinsborough from Sydney with her father and mother, Steve and Miranda. During her time in Neighbours, Bridget's storylines included being run over by Susan Kennedy, falling in love with Declan Napier, finding her birth mother and falling pregnant at seventeen. In March 2009, the decision was taken to write the Parker family out of the show after both Mignon and Steve Bastoni, who played Steve, quit. Mignon wanted to return to her studies and she had enough of Neighbours. Bridget died on-screen on 21 July 2009 after suffering internal injuries, which she sustained in a car crash. The character was met with polarised reactions from viewers and critics, though her pregnancy storyline was voted the best of 2008 during a poll on the official website.

Finlay "Fin" Roberts is a fictional character in the Australian soap opera Home and Away, portrayed by Tina Thomsen. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Murder of Deborah Linsley</span> 1988 English murder victim

On the afternoon of 23 March 1988, Deborah Linsley was murdered on a train between Petts Wood and London Victoria stations in Greater London. Although there were about 70 people on the train, and Linsley apparently fought and injured her attacker, only one passenger reported hearing anything suspicious. The killer has not been identified. Stored blood evidence from the scene allowed the case to be re-examined a decade later using DNA technology, and in 2002 it was re-opened with a major publicity campaign. A police reward is on offer.
