Theodore Dammann was a politician from the U.S. state of Wisconsin. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 4, 1869. The son of a Lutheran pastor, he attended Concordia College, at the time located in Milwaukee, now known as Concordia University Wisconsin, located in Mequon, Wisconsin. He served as that state's twenty-third Secretary of State, serving six terms from January 3, 1927 to January 2, 1939. For his first four terms he was a Republican and served under governors Fred R. Zimmerman, Walter J. Kohler, Sr., Philip La Follette and Albert G. Schmedeman. For his second two terms he was a Progressive and served once again under Governor Philip La Follette.

David A. Cullen is an American lawyer who is serving as the current Treasurer of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Prior to his election, Cullen served as a Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Assembly after winning a special election in May 1990. Cullen was elected in April 2012 to a seat on the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors, which he held until taking office as County Treasurer.

Leah Vukmir is an American politician and nurse who served as a member of the Wisconsin Senate. A Republican, she represented Wisconsin's 5th District. She previously served in the Wisconsin Assembly. Vukmir was the Republican nominee in the 2018 U.S. Senate election in Wisconsin, running unsuccessfully against incumbent Democrat Tammy Baldwin. In March 2019, Vukmir became vice president of state affairs at the National Taxpayers Union.

Kathryn Morrison was an American educator and Democratic Party politician who was the first woman to be elected to serve in the Wisconsin Senate. Morrison was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and graduated from Madison East High School. Morrison was elected November 1974, seated January 1975 and served one term representing the 17th District.

The 2012 United States Senate election in Wisconsin took place on November 6, 2012, alongside a U.S. presidential election as well as other elections to the United States Senate and House of Representatives and various state and local elections. Incumbent Democratic Senator Herb Kohl retired instead of running for re-election to a fifth term. This was the first open Senate seat in Wisconsin since 1988, when Kohl won his first term.

The Labor–Farm Party of Wisconsin was an independent left-leaning political party in the state of Wisconsin. In 1984, William Osborne Hart, one of the party's founders, intended to run for President of the United States and failed due to a Wisconsin Supreme Court deliberation. This, as well as other factors, led to the party's dissolution.

Steven C. Brist is an American attorney and former Democratic politician. He served three terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly and currently works as an assistant city attorney for Madison, Wisconsin.

Lucille Berrien is an activist from Milwaukee. She was good friends with fellow Open housing advocate James Groppi. She ran for mayor of Milwaukee in 1972, becoming the first African-American woman to do so, but lost the race to incumbent Henry Maier. Though she had recently joined the Black Panther Party, she ran a non-partisan race for mayor. Berrien also ran for State Treasurer of Wisconsin in 1990 with the Labor–Farm Party of Wisconsin, but lost to Cathy Zeuske.
