The Center of the American Experiment is a Minnesota-based think tank that advocates for conservative and free-market principles. [5] John Hinderaker, of the Power Line blog, is its president. [6]

Overview

The Center of the American Experiment was founded in 1990 by Mitch Pearlstein, a former Reagan appointee. [2] Annette Meeks previously served as the organization's CEO. [7] It has received grants from the Bradley Foundation and the John M. Olin Foundation. [8] Katherine Kersten is a Senior Fellow at the organization. [9]

The Center has supported school vouchers [8] and opposed affirmative action, particularly in academia. [10] The organization has been credited with playing a major role in empowering conservatives in Minnesota. [11]

Its offices were set on fire in February 2024 in a case of arson. [12]

The Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) is an American conservative think tank based in Austin, Texas. The organization was co-founded in 1989 by James R. Leininger and Fritz S. Steiger, who sought intellectual support for his education reform ideas, including public school vouchers. Sutherland Institute is a conservative public policy think tank located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Institute was founded in 1995 by Utah businessman and philanthropist Gaylord K. Swim. The Sutherland Institute believes that families, private initiatives, voluntary associations, churches and businesses are better than the government at solving problems.

Nash in 2009, the movement comprises a coalition of five distinct impulses. Katherine Kersten is a conservative columnist who wrote for the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Annette Meeks is a Minnesota Republican politician and a member of the state's Metropolitan Council. She was the 2010 endorsed Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, running with gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer.

Some variants of feminism are considered more conservative than others. Historically feminist scholars tend to not have much interest in conservative women but in recent years there have been efforts at greater scholarly analysis of these women and their views.

Donors Trust is an American nonprofit donor-advised fund. It was founded in 1999 with the goal of "safeguarding the intent of libertarian and conservative donors". As a donor advised fund, Donors Trust is not legally required to disclose the identity of its donors, and most of its donors remain anonymous. It distributes funds to various conservative and libertarian organizations, and has been characterized as the "dark money ATM" of the political right.

The nonprofit organization primarily focuses on reducing the welfare state, reducing restrictions on teenage workers, and blocking the expansion of Medicaid at both the state and federal levels. FGA conducts policy research and its experts recommend free-market policies intended to promote work, reduce dependency, and increase opportunity. The organization was founded in 2011 by Tarren Bragdon, now FGA's CEO and president. The group's "emphasis on policy messaging and marketing...has differentiated the group from traditional think tanks."

The Freedom Foundation of Minnesota (FFM) is a conservative think tank based in Minnesota. The group states that it "actively advocates the principles of individual freedom, personal responsibility, economic freedom, and limited government." Annette Meeks founded the organization in 2006 and currently serves as CEO. The Freedom Foundation of Minnesota founded Minnesota Watchdog, an online news service. The organization is a member of the State Policy Network.

The Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute (TCCRI) is a conservative think tank in Texas. It was founded in 1996 by state legislators who had a vision to develop and implement conservative public policies in state government. The group states that it "is committed to shaping public policy through a principled approach to state government."

The Searle Freedom Trust is a 501(c)(3) grant-making foundation located in the United States. It was established by business executive Daniel C. Searle in 1998. As of 2017, the trust had an endowment of $141 million.

The IPR publishes the Indiana Policy Review. Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, it is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization.
