James Moore "Big Jim" Tatum was an American football and baseball player and coach. Tatum served as the head football coach at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of Oklahoma (1946), and the University of Maryland, College Park (1947–1955), compiling a career college football record of 100–35–7. His 1953 Maryland team won a national title. As a head coach, he employed the split-T formation with great success, a system he had learned as an assistant under Don Faurot at the Iowa Pre-Flight School during World War II. Tatum was also the head baseball coach at Cornell University from 1937 to 1939, tallying a mark of 20–40–1. Tatum's career was cut short by his untimely death in 1959. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1984.
Dameyune Vashon Craig is an American football coach and former player. He is currently an offensive assistant at Georgia State University. He was most recently the wide receivers coach at Texas A&M University. Craig played professionally as quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for four seasons with the Carolina Panthers.
Harold Nichols is an American football coach and former player. He was the head football coach at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, from 2009 to 2016. Nichols played college football as a quarterback at Presbyterian from 1987 to 1989. He has worked an assistant football coach at Georgia Southern University, the University of Rhode Island, Bucknell University, and his alma mater, Presbyterian.
Charles Warren Noe was an American college basketball coach and broadcaster. Noe was credited by former University of North Carolina basketball coach Dean Smith with creating the 4-corner "stall" offense for which Smith became famous for utilizing at UNC, during Noe's time as hoops coach at the University of South Carolina.
The Longwood Lancers men's basketball team is the Division I basketball team that represents Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. Since 2012, the team has competed in the Big South Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Their current head coach is Griff Aldrich, a one-time lawyer and chief financial officer of a private equity firm who formerly served as the recruiting director for UMBC. The Lancers made their first appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2022, followed by another appearance in 2024.

Patrick Mason was an American college baseball coach and former catcher. He was the volunteer assistant coach at Northeastern University. Mason played college baseball at Northeastern University for coach Neil McPhee from 1994 to 1997 and played in the Heartland League for one season in 1997. He served as the head coach at Virginia Tech from 2014–2017. Mason was a catcher for Northeastern for four years, before a brief minor league career. He helped lead the Huskies to a pair of conference titles in 1994 and 1997. He then earned an assistant coaching position at Boston College, his first position under Pete Hughes. After four season with the Eagles, he spent one year at Framingham State before returning to his alma mater for six seasons. Mason was reunited with Hughes at Virginia Tech in 2011, earning the associate head coach position in 2012. Following Hughes' departure for Oklahoma following the Hokies' first-ever selection as a regional host in 2013, Mason was promoted to head coach. After a 90–126–1 record in 4 season at Virginia Tech, Mason was fired.

Marlin Ikenberry is an American baseball coach and former catcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the James Madison Dukes. He played college baseball at VMI for coach Chris Finwood from 1992 to 1995. He served at head coach of the VMI Keydets for 11 seasons, from 2004 to 2014. He was hired on July 22, 2003, the successor to Tom Slater, who departed for a coaching position at the University of Florida. Ikenberry resigned the position to after the 2014 season to pursue a business opportunity.
Jayson Gee is an American men's college basketball coach who most recently served as an assistant coach under John Brannen at Cincinnati. He was formerly head coach at Longwood from 2013–2018. Prior to Longwood, Gee served as head coach of his alma mater Division II Charleston Golden Eagles and the associate head coach at Division I Cleveland State, Division I St. Bonaventure, and Division I Ohio. In 2015, he was awarded the John Lotz Barnabas award by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Anthony Gregory "Tony" Vitello is an American college baseball head coach and former infielder. Vitello has been the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers baseball team since June 7, 2017. Since taking over as head coach, Vitello has led Tennessee back to national prominence and has helped establish Tennessee baseball as an SEC and national power. Vitello's teams have made five NCAA regionals, four NCAA super regionals (2021–2024), and three College World Series appearances. Vitello led Tennessee to the 2024 College World Series championship, defeating Texas A&M two games to one to secure the Volunteers’ first-ever title.
