George Clarence "Bugs" Moran was an American Chicago Prohibition-era gangster. He was incarcerated three times before his 21st birthday. Seven members of his gang were gunned down and killed in a warehouse in the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre of February 14, 1929, supposedly on the orders of his rival Al Capone.

Munna Bajrangi or Prem Prakash Singh was an Indian politician, a known contract killer and a gang leader from Eastern Uttar Pradesh. In the two decades he was active, he is associated with more than 40 incidents such as murder, attempted murder, and extortion. In 2009, he was jailed for the murder of MLA Krishnanand Rai in 2005 and another BJP leader Ramchandra Singh. For many years, he supported the Samajwadi Party headed by Mulayam Singh Yadav, but the gang switched to Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party in the mid-2000s.
The criminal Ashok Mahto gang, which was active in the Indian state Bihar, was led by Ashok Mahto and included Pintu Mahto. Ashok Mahto and his gang were responsible for the 2005 killing of Rajo Singh, a sitting Member of Parliament. Ashok Mahto was imprisoned but escaped from Nawada jail in 2002. Pintu Mahto killed three police officers during the prison breakout. The gang's leaders are said to belong to either the Kurmi or Koeri caste, and was supported by the backward castes in the Nawada and Sheikhpura regions. The Mahto gang was waging a war of retribution against the exploitative upper-caste Bhumihars. Mahto and his gang were responsible for the killings of a large number of Forward Caste people in late 1990s.
Mohammad Aftab Alam is a Nepali politician from the Nepali Congress and a suspended member of the House of Representatives of the federal parliament of Nepal. He was a member of the first constituent assembly as well. He is also a former Minister for Labour and Transport Management.
Rajiv Gurung, known by his criminal alias Deepak Manange, is a Nepali gangster and politician, who was elected to Gandaki Provincial Assembly in the 2017 elections from Manang (B) constituency as an independent candidate. He became the minister of sports in the provincial government in April 2021.
Jitender Mann "Gogi" was an Indian gangster operating in National Capital Region, India. He was a resident of Alipur village, Delhi and is infamous for Burari Shootout and the murder of haryanvi singer Harshita Dhaiya. He was killed inside a court in Rohini, Delhi, on 24 September 2021 by a rival gang.
