Chandan Kar (born 16 September) is an Ollywood actor and IT Professional from the state of Odisha in India. [1] [2] He made his debut in the film Babu I Love You in 2006. [3] [4] [5]

Kar was inexperienced before acting in his first movie, Babu I Love You, in 2006. [6] [7]

Off-screen work

Kar is an active member and counselor of the NGO named Save Indian Family Foundation (SIFF) since the year 2007. [11]

Kar has adopted two tigers through the "Adopt an Animal" program of Nandankanan Zoological Park located at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. [12] [13] [14] [15] [16] [17] [18] [19] [20]

Later, Kar also joined the organization People For Animals PFA, Bhubaneswar. [17] [21] [22]

To promote eye donation in the State and raise awareness, Chandan has donated his eyes with the help of Drushti Daan eyebank. [17] [23]

Nandankanan Zoological Park is a 437-hectare (1,080-acre) zoo and botanical garden in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Established in 1960, it was opened to the public in 1979 and became the first zoo in India to join World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) in 2009. It also contains a botanical garden and part of it has been declared a sanctuary. Nandankanan, literally meaning The Garden of Heaven, is located near the capital city, Bhubaneswar, in the environs of the Chandaka forest, and includes the 134-acre (54 ha) Kanjia lake.

Ajit Das was an Indian actor, director and playwright. He started acting in Ollywood with the Odia film Sindura Bindu. He received the moniker Hakim Babu from the film of the same name.

Hakim Babu is a 1985 Indian Odia-language drama film directed by Pranab Das and starring Ajit Das, Jaya Swami and Bijaya Jena. The film marks the second collaboration between Pranab and Ajit Das after Sesha Pratikhya (1979). The story is based on Bibhuti Patnaik's novel of the same name and talks about industrialization and displacement in an Odisha village.
