Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) was established in 2008 as an autonomous institution under the Societies Act, with active support from the government of Bihar. It is an AICTE-approved and NBA accredited institution, offers a two-year full-time program in Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

Selection process

Applicants are selected on the basis of CAT, MAT, XAT and CMAT scores and are called to appear for Essay test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview/Interaction. Academic profile, and work experience of candidates are also considered for short-listing. Upon aggregating their performance on these grounds, a merit list is prepared and students are selected. IIMs/XLRI have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Reservation

The institute follows reservation policy as prescribed by the Government of Bihar for educational institutions. The break-up of reservation policy is as follows:

Amongst all the categories, 50% of the total seats are reserved for students who qualify as a Domicile of Bihar (permanent residents only) and 4% of the total seats for Person with Disability (PWD).

Artefacts from the ancient India era to 1764 have now been transferred to Bihar Museum.

Anand Kumar is an Indian mathematics educator, best known for his Super 30 program , which he started in Patna, Bihar in 2002. He is known for coaching underprivileged students for JEE–Main and JEE–Advanced, the entrance examinations for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Kumar was named in Time magazine's list of Best of Asia 2010. In 2023, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the country's fourth highest civilian award by the Government of India for his contributions in the fields of literature and education. Anand Kumar was designated as the honorary ambassador of department of Korean Tourism of Government of South Korea.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is a multi-campus public university in Mumbai, India. It is Asia's oldest institute for professional social work education and was founded in 1936 in the then Bombay Presidency of British India as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust. In 1944, the institute was officially renamed the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and in 1964, the Government of India declared TISS a deemed university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Bihar has been a major centre of learning and home to one of the oldest universities of India dating back to the fifth century and the tradition of learning which had its origin from ancient times was lost during the medieval period when it is believed that marauding armies of the invaders destroyed these centres of learning.

Patna Metro (Patna MRTS) is a rapid transit system being constructed in the city of Patna, India. Construction will be completed over five phases, and the transit system would be owned and operated by the state-run Patna Metro Rail Corporation. In the first phase, five stations of Patna Metro will be operational by March 2025. Patna MRTS, constructed under a public-private partnership model, is estimated to cost 13,365.77 crore (US$1.6 billion). This cost excludes land acquisition cost, which will be paid for by the Bihar government. The first phase (consisting of the east–west and north–south corridors) will include both a 15.36 km (9.54 mi) elevated track and a 16.30 km (10.13 mi) underground track.

Bihta is a town and Block in Patna district, Bihar state, India. Bihta is part of Maner Assembly constituency and Pataliputra Lok Sabha constituency. It is located around 30 km (19 mi) west of Patna. Bihta is also an upcoming satellite town of Patna. It lies 7 km (4.3 mi) from Bihta railway station.

Patliputra Junction, Station code (PPTA), is a railway station in the Rukanpura area in the West End of Patna, Bihar. The station, which is governed by East Central Railway and managed by Danapur railway division, lies on the Patna–Sonepur–Hajipur section. Located 12 kilometres north-west of Patna Junction, it has primarily been developed to ease pressure on the city's other two railway stations, through which roughly 350 trains pass daily. It is located near Bailey Road, an important western thoroughfare in Patna. Patliputra junction has become the fourth terminal of the Danapur railway division after Patna Junction, Danapur station and Rajendranagar Terminal.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hajipur is a public pharmaceutical education and research university located in Hajipur, Bihar, India. Established in 2007, it is one of the seven National Institutes of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPERs) under India's Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. The institute offers Post Graduate degree in pharmaceutical sciences. Like all other NIPERs, it has the Institute of National Importance status.

Bihar Museum is a state museum located in Patna. It was partially opened in August 2015. 'The children's museum', the main entrance area, and an orientation theatre were the only parts opened to the public in August 2015. Later, in October 2017 remaining galleries were also opened. More than 100 artifacts were transferred here from Patna Museum.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Dr. C.V. Raman University, Bihar</span> Private University in Bihar

Dr. C.V. Raman University, Bihar (CVRU) is a private university located at Bhagwanpur in Vaishali district, Bihar, India. The university was established in 2018 by the All India Society for Electronics & Computer Technology (AISECT) under the Bihar Private Universities Act, 2013, the fourth of six private universities planned in Bihar, following the first two private universities, K. K. University and Sandip University, Sijoul and later Amity University, Patna. The Bihar Cabinet approved the University on 10 January 2018, notified in the gazette on 7 February 2018 and the university became active in the July 2018 session. The university offers various diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in five faculties. It is named after the first Nobel Laureate of the country, C.V. Raman.
