Channelbox, is a British over-the-top streaming service based in the United Kingdom which offers a selection of free-to-air TV channels, delivering them to the Freeview (UK) platform. [1] [2] [3]
Channelbox was founded in 2019 and now offers over 50 TV channels include FAST and other TV channels including Euronews, Bloomberg, France24, Fashion TV, and Rotana. [4] [5] It is a free-to-air over-the-top streaming service available on Freeview channel 271 [6] as well as IOS and Android app stores. [7] [8] [9] [10] Channelbox acts as a portal of wide range of TV streaming services on any compatible TVs including HbbTV and MHEG devices. [11] In March 2022, Channelbox was the first platform in the UK to launch Ukrainian news channel Ukraina24. In July the channel ceased its operations. In 2021, Channelbox rolled out it's HbbTV version and was shortlisted for the Best Technology Innovation by HbbTV Association. [15]
