Channelbox, is a British over-the-top streaming service based in the United Kingdom which offers a selection of free-to-air TV channels, delivering them to the Freeview (UK) platform. [1] [2] [3]

History and services

Channelbox was founded in 2019 and now offers over 50 TV channels include FAST and other TV channels including Euronews, Bloomberg, France24, Fashion TV, and Rotana. [4] [5] It is a free-to-air over-the-top streaming service available on Freeview channel 271 [6] as well as IOS and Android app stores. [7] [8] [9] [10] Channelbox acts as a portal of wide range of TV streaming services on any compatible TVs including HbbTV and MHEG devices. [11] In March 2022, Channelbox was the first platform in the UK to launch Ukrainian news channel Ukraina24. In July the channel ceased its operations. [12] Tanya Kronfli is the head of content and business development of Channelbox. [13] [14]

Awards and achievements

In 2021, Channelbox rolled out it's HbbTV version and was shortlisted for the Best Technology Innovation by HbbTV Association. [15]
