Chaos in the CBD are a house music group originally from Auckland, New Zealand. Founded in 2011, in 2012 they relocated to London. [2] The group consists of brothers Louis and Ben Helliker-Hales. [3] [4]
The group has collaborated with artists such as Nathan Haines and Novelist, [5] and has remixed songs by Alton Miller and Zebra Katz. In 2017 they were nominated for the Aotearoa Music Award for Best Electronic Artist. [6] They have played multiple sets for Boiler Room. [5] Their debut album A Deeper Life was released in May 2025. A Deeper Life reached number 34 on the New Zealand album's chart, [7] and number 2 on the UK Dance Chart. [8] Following the release of their album, they played at Parklife festival. [9]

Writing for the New Zealand Listener, Graham Reid gave the album A Deeper Live a positive review, describing the album as "laidback, crafted, subtle, sophisticated and chill". [14]
