Ronald Dale Earle was an American politician and judge who was,from January 1977 to January 2009,the District Attorney for Travis County,Texas. He became nationally known for filing charges against House majority leader Tom DeLay in September 2005 for conspiring to violate Texas' election law and/or to launder money. In Texas,Earle was known for his criminal justice reform efforts which focused on crime prevention,alternative sentencing,victim advocacy,and the reintegration of former offenders into society. In 1983,Earle - an Eagle Scout - prosecuted himself for an election law violation after missing a campaign finance filing deadline by one day;he was fined $212. Earle was a fixture in Travis County politics and served in public office there for more than 30 years,joking that he was asked if he was the "District Eternity".

Cathleen Cochran Herasimchuk,was a judge of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. A resident of Austin,Texas,she was initially appointed to the court on September 28,2001 by Governor Rick Perry and elected by Texas voters in 2002 and 2008. She did not seek re-election to the bench in 2014 and was succeeded in her Place 9 seat by her fellow Republican,David Newell of Houston. She died on February 7,2021.

Elsa R. Alcala,also known as Elsa Spjut,is a former Republican official who most recently served (2011–2018) as one of the nine judges of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. She was appointed to the Place 8 on the bench by then Governor Rick Perry,when Charles Holcomb stepped down to run in 2012 for the United States Senate. On July 16,2019 she announced she was leaving the Republican Party to support Democrats at the state and national level.
Robin French Wynne is an Arkansas Supreme Court justice elected in 2014. He was previously a judge on the Arkansas Court of Appeals,District 5 from 2011 until being sworn into the Arkansas Supreme Court in 2015. Prior to serving on the Court of Appeals,he was the Dallas County District Judge between 2004 and 2010.
Mary Lou Keel has been a Judge of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals since 2016. Between 1995 and 2016 she presided over the 232nd District Court in Harris County,Texas. She had previously served as assistant district attorney in Harris County. She received her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Texas in 1982. She received her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 1985. Her husband,Jim Hippard Jr.,is an attorney. They have three children.
Michael Edward Keasler,was a judge of the nine-member Texas Court of Criminal Appeals,the state court of last resort for criminal cases in Texas,from January 1999 to December 2020.
The 2022 Texas elections will be held on November 8,2022. Primary elections are scheduled for March 1,with runoffs held on May 24 for primary candidates who did not receive a majority of the vote.
Kevin Patrick Yeary is an American attorney and jurist who serves on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. A Republican,he was elected in 2014.
