Charlotte de la Gournerie (born January 15, 1989) is a French film producer. She has been nominated for her film Flee for the Best Documentary Feature and Best Animated Feature at the 94th Academy Awards. [1]

Life and career

Charlotte was born in France and grew up in Bretagne, Bordeaux and Paris where she graduated, in 2013, from the Gobelins Animation School. She started her career at Animation Sans Frontières, a workshop supported by Creative Europe, then she moved to Denmark to work as a producer. [2] In 2015, she became partner at Sun Creature Studio. [3] In 2020, she started Sun Creature France in Bordeaux. [4]

Method Animation is a French company which produces CGI-And 2D animated shows. It came together in 2014 as the culmination of a merger of Dimitri Rassam's Chapter 2 and Alexis Vonarb's Onyx Films. Method Animation is the parent company of media conglomerate Mediawan. Paris-based ON Entertainment, headed by Rassam, is one of its divisions. Sun Creature Studio is a Danish animation studio. It was founded in 2014 when the creators launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the production of the animated series The Reward: Tales of Alethrion. In 2016 it collaborated with fellow Danish production company Final Cut for Real to produce Flee, an animated documentary film about a young Afghan refugee in Denmark.

Flee is a 2021 adult animated documentary film directed by Jonas Poher Rasmussen. An international co-production with Denmark, France, Norway, and Sweden, it follows the story of a man under the alias Amin Nawabi, who shares his hidden past of fleeing his home country of Afghanistan to Denmark for the first time. Riz Ahmed and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau serve as executive producers and narrators for the English-language dub version.
