The district operates three schools: Cheektowaga High School, Cheektowaga Middle School, and Union East Elementary School.

The town of Cheektowaga had many multiple districts. In 1956, five districts (Union, Losson, Pine Hill, Alexander, and Cayuga) merged to form the new Cheektowaga Central School District. [1]

Pine Hill Education Center was located at 1635 East Delavan and serves grades PK through 12
Pine Hill opened as Pine Hill Elementary School and was opened in September 1971. The cornerstone was laid on May 19, 1971 and the school was dedicated on June 1, 1972. The school closed in 2011, and now houses the district's alternative education program. The alternative program, opened in 2011, serves students who are referred from the Cheektowaga Middle and High Schools in needed of a smaller, more structured learning environment.
In 2018, the school was closed and the alternative education program was moved to the high school campus. The building now houses the EDGE Academy from Erie 1 BOCES.

The West Seneca Central School District is the third largest central school district in Western New York, and one of the largest school districts in New York State. It serves 25 square miles (65 km2), including a majority of the town of West Seneca, and portions of the towns of Cheektowaga, Orchard Park, and Hamburg. It was centralized in 1946.
Lafayette High School was a public high school in Buffalo, New York. It was the oldest public school in Buffalo that remained in its original building, a stone, brick and terra-cotta structure in the French Renaissance Revival style by architects August Esenwein and James A. Johnson. Although classes began off-site during construction of the school, the building was completed and graduated its first class in 1903. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is located in Buffalo's Upper West Side at 370 Lafayette Avenue.
Math, Science, and Technology Preparatory School is a magnet middle/high school located in the City of Buffalo, New York. the first preparatory school in Western New York and the third in New York State. The school opened in September 2006 and has approximately 387 students. The current principal is Ms. Danielle Womack and the current assistant principals are Ms. Sarah Cosgrove and Mr. Erich Wheeler.

The Grand Island Central School District is a New York State public school district that serves the town of Grand Island in Erie County. The district consists of 5 schools–3 elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. The middle and high schools share the same address and building. From 2013 to 2017, the district underwent a $58 million renovation, dubbed the "Capital Project" locally. This project included improvements to the district's lighting, air conditioning, auditoriums, gymnasiums, wireless Internet, as well as the addition of new academic wings. Grand Island is known regionally for their music program, and was designated for their community excellence in 2012-2016. More recently, mostly due to the Capital Project, Grand Island has also become more involved in state and regional technology-related activities.
