Arai En 305-il Kadavul is a 2008 Tamil-language fantasy comedy film directed by Chimbu Deven, who earlier directed Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikecei, starring Vadivelu. A remake of the 2003 Hollywood film Bruce Almighty, the film stars Prakash Raj, Santhanam alongside Ganja Karuppu, Jyothirmayi, and Madhumitha. An ensemble supporting cast including Sampath Raj, Madhan Bob, Rajesh, M. S. Bhaskar, Periyar Dasan, and Ilavarasu appears in supporting roles.

Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language magic realism comedy film written and directed by Chimbu Deven, starring Arulnithi, Bindu Madhavi, Ashrita Shetty and Bagavathi Perumal. The music comprises three tracks composed by Sankaran Natarajan, while S. R. Kathir handles the camera. The film was shot in Chennai, in and around Saidapet, Anna Nagar, Besant Nagar and Royapuram. The theme of this film was inspired by the 1998 film Run Lola Run, which Chimbudevan acknowledges in the end credits. The film earned mixed reviews and was an average grosser at the box office.

Bagavathi Perumal, popularly known as Bucks, is an Indian actor, who has worked in Tamil films. Perumal debuted in Balaji Tharaneetharan's critically acclaimed Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012). Puli is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language fantasy action adventure film written and directed by Chimbu Deven. The film stars Vijay in a dual role as demon prince, and his son a half-demon, alongside Shruti Haasan as the female lead. Hansika Motwani plays a supporting role. Sudeep features as the main antagonist of the film, along with Prabhu and Nandita Swetha in cameo roles. Sridevi features as the possessed evil Queen Yavanarani, as her comeback movie to the Kollywood industry and eventually marked her last Tamil film post her untimely demise in the year, 2018.
Thiruvilaiyadal is a 1965 Indian Tamil-language Hindu mythological film written, directed, produced, and distributed by A. P. Nagarajan. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Savitri, and K. B. Sundarambal with T. S. Balaiah, R. Muthuraman, Nagesh, T. R. Mahalingam, S. V. Sahasranamam, Devika, Manorama, and Nagarajan himself playing pivotal roles.
