Chin Chiu-Yueh (born 1 February 1968) is an archer who represented Chinese Taipei. [1]

Chin finished 27th at the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in the women's individual event. She also finished eleventh in the women's team event as part of the Chinese Taipei team as part of the Chinese Taipei team. [2]

She won a silver medal in the freestyle women's individual event at the 1991 World Indoor Archery Championships.

The Republic of China (ROC) competed as Chinese Taipei at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California for the first time. The change in name was a result of the Nagoya Resolution, adopted by the International Olympic Committee in 1979 after the objections raised in the 1970s by the People's Republic of China (PRC) over the political status of Taiwan. The IOC restrictions over the ROC name led to the ROC boycott of the Summer Games of 1976 and 1980; the PRC boycotted the Olympic Games prior to the adoption of the resolution. The 1984 Summer Games Chinese Taipei team included 31 men and 7 women, taking part in 40 events in 12 sports. In weightlifting, athletes both from Chinese Taipei and the People's Republic of China won medals.

Tan Ya-ting is an archer who represents Chinese Taipei. She is a three-time Olympian, having participated at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. She has additionally competed in the World Archery Championships and the Archery World Cup.

A total of 15 nations competed in the women's team event at the 1988 Summer Olympics as part of the archery programme. The ranking round score for a team was the sum of the three scores earned by the individual archers in the individual ranking round. The top twelve nations competed in the semifinals, with the top eight advancing to the finals.

Lin Chia-en is a Taiwanese archer who competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics, and again at the 2020 Summer Olympics. At the Tokyo Olympics, Lin and teammate Tang Chih-chun tied for ninth place in the new mixed team event; she was the only female archer from Chinese Taipei to advance to the individual top 16.

Chinese Taipei competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016. "Chinese Taipei" is the designated name used by Taiwan to participate in some international organizations and almost all sporting events, including the Olympic Games. Neither the common name "Taiwan" nor the official name "Republic of China" would be used due primarily to opposition from the People's Republic of China. This was also the region's ninth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics.
