Ding Yanyuhang is a Chinese professional basketball player for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He is considered to be one of the greatest Chinese basketball players and scorers of his generation, and was set to join the NBA after a successful showing with the Dallas Mavericks in the 2017 NBA Summer League at the age of 23. However, repeated knee injuries sidelined him from play after stellar CBA seasons in 2016-17 and 2017-18, where he won back-to-back CBA MVPs. This included a magnificent run in the 2018 CBA playoffs, where he scored an average of 29.8 PPG. Through June 2018 to October 2021, Ding was recovering from a string of foot and knee injuries and was out for over 1200 days without professional basketball.

The 2017–18 CBA season was the 23rd season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The regular season was initially scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 21, 2017, with the Guangdong Southern Tigers hosting the Shenzhen Leopards, but later rescheduled to Saturday, October 28, 2017, with the defending champion Xinjiang Flying Tigers hosting the Jilin Northeast Tigers. The regular season ended on Sunday, February 11, 2018, and the playoffs begin on Saturday, March 3, 2018.

The 2018–19 CBA season was the 24th season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). In this campaign, the regular season expands from 38 games to 46 games, while the playoffs expand from 10 teams to 12 teams.

The 2019 Ping An Chinese Football Association Super League was the 16th season since the establishment of the Chinese Super League. The league title sponsor was Ping An Insurance. The season began on 1 March and ended on 1 December. Shanghai SIPG were the defending champions.

The 2020–21 CBA season was the 26th season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). All games were played in Zhuji, Zhejiang. The regular season was divided into four stages. The first stage began on 17 October 2020 and ended on 14 November 2020. The second stage began on 2 December 2020 and ended on 6 February 2021. The third stage began on 1 March 2021 and ended on 18 March 2021. The last stage began on 24 March 2021 and ended on 13 April 2021. The All-Star Game was played on 21 March 2021 in Qingdao. The 2022 Ping An Chinese Football Association Super League is the 19th season since the establishment of the Chinese Super League. The league title sponsor is Ping An Insurance.

The 2022 China League One was the 19th season of the China League One, the second tier of the Chinese football league pyramid, since its establishment in 2004.

Zheng Wei is a Chinese basketball coach and former player. She is the current head coach of the Chinese national team. She won the silver medal at FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup as both player and coach.
